According to @ESPNSteinLine, Utah has previously expressed interest in Marquis Teague and could revisit discussions depending on Burke timetable. He is being evaluated on Monday.

As a Bulls fan I hated the pick (wanted Festus Ezeli) and I have not liked Teague as a player, and would like to see him moved.

My question for Utah fans is what player could the Bulls possibly receive in return? Have you heard anything about their feelings towards Rudy Gobert early on? I loved his movement and obviously, his length, in the preseason. I am sure that is a long shot to trade a small for a big, but that is player I would target and I was just wondering. Bulls could add a pick but that would probably still be unlikely. Wishful thinking.

John Lucas would be an obvious choice but he cannot be dealt until Dec. 15.

I wasn’t extremely high on the pick of Marquis Teague either, as I wanted them to take his UK teammate who slipped into the second round, Mr. Doron Lamb. Either way, Teague has so far been pretty impressive in a Chicago uniform. He had a dreadful Summer League during his rookie campaign, having shooting nights such as 2-25 and 1-14. However, he played rather decent for the Bulls during the regular season last year and has really progressed well.

I have heard rumors about Chicago trading a point guard to the Utah Jazz, but I was hearing Kirk Hinrich’s name as a possible trade candidate. It seems more than unlikely though that Chicago would give a second year point guard the backup duties behind Derrick Rose already.

If I could see any trade between these two teams, it would probably be Marquis Teague for Brandon Rush and a somewhat protected 1st round pick.

Why for Utah: Utah needs depth at the PG position, and if they do not feel comfortable handing those duties to the undersized John Lucas III, I can see Teague as a viable option while Trey Burke recovers from a fractured index finger. Also, Burke has yet to blow anybody away, and we will see if he is ready to be a starter in the NBA just yet.

Why for Chicago: Chicago already has a capable backup veteran point in Kirk Hinrich. What the team needs is some solid perimeter shooting, and Brandon Rush drops long range jumpers at a very high, efficient rate. Also, Rush plays outstanding defense on the wing, something that a coach like Tom Thibs would cherish in a newly acquired player. They would also bring in a protected first round pick to make up for some of the potential lost with Marquis Teague.

No way we would give up on Gobert already. The Jazz front office had him as a lotto pick on there big board prior to the draft, and it was a steal to snag him for a second rounder and cash. I’m not sure who we would give up for the guy if we actually are going after him. We do have a plethora of picks tho, so maybe we give up a second rounder for him.

If we were looking to trade for a pg who is buried on a bench itd be jimmer. Cause if the jazz are going to be tanking what better way then having jimmer to draw fans to the games. Also i think he’d be a great role player on that team with his ability to shoot while allowing burks to run the 2nd unit in terms of pg play on offense. A second unit of jimmer/burks/rush/evans/gobert would be one of the most intriguing second units in the league.
