I watched the press conference announcing Lavine and GR3. I took a couple things away from listening to him talk about the picks and a couple other things. First of all he looks like holy hell and the season hasn’t even started. I don’t know why he is trying to do both jobs. I’m sure it’s not fun to try to salvage something out of the Love mess that is the final wrath of Khan.

On the subject of Lavine he pretty much looked at the camera and said I took a shot. He knows he has to find stars through the draft and Lavine has that potential at pick 13. I think it’s a necessary evil trying to scratch the lottery ticket. In GR3 he knows he found value. I was hoping they could get him last year in the lottery. He said they had him mid twenties on their big board. I thought it was funny both guys talked about being excited to play with Ricky, but nothing about Love.

The subject that drew my ire was Rubio. Flip was asked about a shooting coach for Ricky and Flip said Ricky was working with his shooting coach he picked and that Ricky was hanging out at the World Cup. I’m sorry but if Ricky is going to get me fired from both my jobs while asking me for 7 figures, I might have a little tighter handle on his development. Ricky’s jumper is a missile and the biggest block to his development. It needs to be broken down and rebuilt, and I would want continual updates. I would want someone on my payroll controlling this, not somebody on his.

 You’re right, Flip looks terrible, but what else is new? He’s looked like an insomniac for years. He reminds me of a dirty ash tray, or a stale cup of coffee. 

While I agree with your premise, i’m going to hold back on the criticism until the Klove trade goes down and the returns come in.
