knicks82ParticipantESPN’s Marc Stein is reporting that the Knicks are just dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s on a contract offer for Ramon Sessions. I really hope the Bucks dont match it.

gatorheelsParticipantThe Bucks won’t match. Sessions is going to the Knicks. Great move by New York, they finally got smart and went after some young talent.

D HampParticipantI don’t want to offend anyone (Knicksboy, Knicks34 or Sheltwon), but I don’t see him playing above average for the Knicks. Like I said before, Sessions did his thing last year and turned a lot of heads. A whole lot of heads. Even mine. But, we haven’t seen him play for a whole season and teams haven’t actually crafted defensive schemes to stop him yet.
You guys are big-time basketball fans, so I know you remember Chris Childs when he went to the Knicks! He blow up just as Sessions did for a half of a season in New Jersery, but once he got to New York he became famous for his fight with Kobe Bryant. Now granted Childs played in a different system.
give credit where it’s due, Session’s rightfully has a chip on his shoulder after being a cast member in the D-League, but my point is, let’s hold off with the Session’s praising until we’ve seen a little more from him.
Dhamp….the greatest mind in basketball. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.

Knicksboy34ParticipantD-Hamp, I dont blame you. I understand there is some risk in this but hear me out. For the past week, I seen people say “NY should add Raymond Felton” Look at these stats
Sessions- 12ppg- 5apg- 29mpg
Felton- 14ppg-6apg-37mpgI rather have Sessions. Also, Toney Douglas will be a solid backup so Sessions will have someone to back him up since he gonna get a mintues increase.
LOL….Chris Childs. I Remember him.

deshawynkeys91ParticipantWOW…. DHamp i’m impressed ur on the right side of the thought process on this one maybe there is hope for u after all!!
Let see how Sessions plays when there is expectations on his shoulders this season wheather that is in Mil. or N.Y because i’m not totally sold on this guy yet and like mentioned above its one thing to perform when no one is expecting it from u but when teams start game planing for u its whole different ball game… however he would be and big upgrade in N.Y for the simple fact that c. duhon is your starting point guard

FutureoftheGameYea Hamp. Hope is on the horizion even tho you had proved that you are a great basketball mind monts and months ago. LOL. But I definatly agree with not blowing Sessions just yet. He isnt a great shooter and seems to get out of control easily. However, D’Antoni kind of likes players who play way to fast. Also, Sessions will get plenty of practice to improve his shot.

sheltwon3ParticipantDhamp there is many things you have to look at. Number one his playmaking skill are perfect for this system. D antoni’s brother has know Sessions since he was a kid. They know what the guy brings to the table. I can gurantee he plays better than Duhon played for the Knicks last year and if you look a Duhon’s early assist numbers they were pretty good. Sessions can get to the line though real well. Also the arguement you are making could be made against Derrick Rose too but the thing is you have to believe that these guys are still working on their games. I am no offended by you DHamp but I am disappointed in you coming up short of this. If the Knicks get him, he will put up numbers for my top 5 argument but many people will be say this, he is only this good because of the system. Marbury did not play well in this system and I am talking about the Suns here. Not every point guard can do well in this system but Sessions will be a perfect fit well almost dude has to learn to be a better 3 point shooter but I think in New York, he will get the opportunity because he can make those shots just does not take many.
