BallinAIstyleParticipantBeginning to worry that the 76ers may try and do too much. At this point I think we should do 1 of 2 things.
1. Trade up for Wiggins and move on realizing that we probably lose Thad, our other first, and maybe another 2nd or future 1st for all I know. But hey if Hinkie feels that strongly..gotta trust the guy..for now.
2. In my opinion if Wiggins and Parker are gone..take Vonleh..guy had one of the more impression pre draft workouts..would pair perfectly down low with Noel in terms of complimenting eachother and has absolute freakish athletic ability for being 6 10 250, 37in vert..7’5 reach..will in time be good from beyond the arc as well..to me is chris bosh..then at 10 take BPA…
Either way we are going to be in the lottery again..next years SG class is strong..I think thats where we eventually fill that hole long term.

WhodunitParticipantHas a team ever had more than 7 picks in a draft before? Thats alot to handle in a span of 3hrs. I’d love to peek at their player rankings board in their war room.

MisterMordenParticipantAssuming we don’t trade any of our picks and that Wiggins and Parker are both gone by 3, then I’d be more than happy if we can walk away from this draft with the following lineup for next year, and i would have to agree that Vonleh is a nice consolation prize, post-wiggins/parker:
Noah Vonleh – PF (3rd pick)
Thad Young – SF
Nerlens Noel – C
Nik Stauskas OR Gary Harris – SG ( 10th pick)
MCW – PG
I think this lineup should put us in the 25-win range and put us back in the lottery again next year as we continue to grow into a championship contender in 4 years or so.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantIf Wiggins and Parker are gone I’d probally draft Vonleh 3rd as well, I like his lenght and 2 way potential next to Noel
Then I’d like to see us take a chance on Lavine or Young at 10, Don’t get me wrong Stauskas or Harris are better players right now but I just want to take a swing for the bleachers with the 10th pick if you know what I mean…
I think Hinkie will get a steal at 32 and package the rest of the 2nd round picks for another late 1st likely from a Team like Miami who doesn’t want to add a guaranteed contract but would like fill their summer league roster with some talent to play with a retooled Heat squad…
A few days after the draft, I think Hinkie has to try to pry away Chandler Parsons in Free Agency, we could start him at Sf to shoot 3’s and make plays for Noel and Vonleh…
Think about a starting lineup of
MCW (reigning Rookie of the Year)
Stauskus or Lavine (10th pick)
Parsons (restricted Free Agent)
Vonleh (3rd pick)
Noel (like having another lottery pick)
We also have Tony Wroten and will add 2 more longterm contributors via the 5 second round picks

phila9012ParticipantMy guess is that they will trade one or 2 second round picks and draft one or 2 guys to stash over seas. It makes sense to get international guys in the second round because they can wait for them and when they are contending for a play off spot they will have players who can come over and help and they shouldn’t come out of the draft with more than 3 or 4 players max

TheTruth86ParticipantIMO, Sixers should pack multiple picks (maybe 10th + a couple of 2nd rounders) to a team like LAL, which need to fill their rooster. They’d probably wouldn’t give up the 7th pick easily, but if a trade is made with Gasol involved in, then Phillys rebuilding might get a lot faster. After all, despite the great amount of talent they could gather, every team need some vets, so it can compete. Whether Gasol would go to Philadelhpia, knowing that he is not getting a shot for the title, is another topic to discuss. Anyway, this year’s draft is the best to do that, bc even in 2nd round, team can pick multiple role players, ready to contribute.

SpartanGloryParticipantAnyone else feel like Philly could be involved in a draft day blockbuster or 2? This draft could be nuts.
