JNixonParticipantGotta figure out matchups to make an exact prediction on this

UKWildcat_11ParticipantHm…I guess you’re right.
Based on the teams with the best shot at it

knicksfan7ParticipantSweet 16 is too many teams, final four is a lot better to ask.

UKWildcat_11ParticipantYeah I thought about that right after I posted it…

knicksfan7Participantof course it depends on what teams are in brackets, but I would go with any of these teams as final four capable:
Syracuse, Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, Kansas State, and Maryland.0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/08/2010 - 3:39pm #264226

JNixonParticipantI like Syracuse, Kansas, Kentucky and Kansas State (even though I’m shaky on my boys).

knicksfan7ParticipantIggy, you have mentioned K-State a lot, out of curiosity are you from Kansas??

illini013ParticipantWithout seeing any brackets or seedings my pre-selection Sunday final 4 is Kentucky, Kansas (even though I hate to put Bill Self’s team as a final 4) Ohio State, and Syracuse

JNixonParticipantNope lol. Not anymore at least. I used to live in Salina, Kansas until I was 12. I live in Atlanta (Conyers) now and I’ve always been a huge K-State fan since I was about 7.

knicksfan7Participantokay that’s cool. I think I am going down to Atlanta in May to see the Mets.

quinceyhodgesi wanna say the top four teams but history has shown that the chances of that happening are very slim
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/08/2010 - 4:18pm #264245

BasterdInABasketParticipantThis is gonna be the one of the most wide open fields weve seen in a while.
I still think kentucky and kansas are the top two teams but for being the top teams they are both very vulnerable. Other potential final four teams are syra, duke, wisco and osu0- Posted on: Mon, 03/08/2010 - 4:27pm #264249
knicksfan7ParticipantIt is easy to say the field is wide open, it is like that every year, but I really believe Kansas-Syracuse if on opposite brackets is going to be the nat’l champ game.

JNixonParticipant^^I do too.
I don’t think Kentucky has the shooters
Kansas State’s half-court play is too inconsistent.
OSU plays 6 players, never a good thing.
Duke has trouble against physical teams with size.
And Wisconsin doesn’t have the offensive players to compete for the title.

sheltwon3ParticipantI think you have to see the seeding because if any of the top teams you mentioned are in the same bracket no matter what they will not make it. final four to me could be Maryland Kentucky, Kansas and Syracuse but that is just off the top of my head. 3 of these teams are locked to be number ones and Maryland is my darkhouse to knock off Duke who should be a number one

quinceyhodgesyeah its pretty much wide open every year. i think it might be alil wider this year but not by much. i think kansas is the only team that has less weaknesses plus vet leadership which comes in handy in post seasons. i hope my terps get far which i think they can because they play good defense and everyone can score double figures plus a guy who can drop 30 if he gets hot or even 40 if hes super hot. i think wisconsin is a dark horse because they play a nice team game with defense liek detroit did the year they won it. i dont expect them to go to far but it wouldnt suprise me either

knicksfan7ParticipantQ, I can see Maryland as a borderline Final Four team. As for Wisconsin I think they go to the sweet 16 and give it all they got, but come short in the sweet 16.

jeff416ParticipantI would say right now
Kansas, Syracuse, Ohio State, and Kentucky. With Cuse and Kansas in the championship game and Kansas winning it. But I think there are alot of teams that could make the final four this year.0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/08/2010 - 6:29pm #264289

UKWildcat_11ParticipantI don’t think Ohio State will make it. Even though they have the PoY, I can see them getting knocked off by a defensize team that is good at controlling the pace of the game. Even if they don’t beat the Buckeyes, the wear and tear of the daily grind will get to them and their small rotation.
-Kentucky (As long as my team gets some shooting goin on; way too talented to go down easy)
-Kansas (Don’t see them getting knocked off easy with 2 vets leading the team with a lot of experience)
-Syracuse (2-3 will eat teams like Kentucky alive)
-Maryland (As long as Greivis Vasquez keeps tearing it up like he has been, they are hard to beat)

tonyl33ParticipantI think it’s going to be a 2003 Rematch with the Cuse taking it all (I’m bais because I’m a Cuse fan :-D).
I think it’ll be a matchup between:
Syracuse and Kentucky (I’m pretty sure they’ll be pair up on the same side of the bracket as Kansas is the overall number 1 and Cuse and Tucky are consider 2 and 3 regardless how you look at it). Kentucky will have to shoot lights out to beat the 2-3 zone because Patterson and Cousins will be paralize by the 2-3 zone.
Kansas and Ohio State (pretty sure OSH is going to be atleast a number 2 seed, might even be a #1 depending on how the big 10 tournament plays out).
Kansas overall has solid players who play pretty consistence on both ends of the floor. OSH, I don’t care if they only play 6 players, if they don’t get injured, I’m pretty sure they’ll get far because their match up nightmares on the offensive end. All 5 starters standing at 6’7 or taller, able to score inside, and shoot lights out from the 3 with Lighty and Dielber. I believe Turner is too determine and he is going to WILL his team into the final four. And for the ACC teams, don’t even get me started, they are so weak this year. One of their top team (Duke) got crush by the Big East’s number 8 team GT. ACC=OVERATED LEAGUE

quinceyhodgescuse vs maryland in the title game….i would loooooove that. or kentucky and maryland. vasquez scores at will on either team but we probably still lose
0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/09/2010 - 12:01pm #264385

knicksfreakParticipantKentucky, Villanova, West Virgina, Syracuse
Baylor is my dark horse
0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/09/2010 - 12:32pm #264392

UKWildcat_11ParticipantOklahoma State is still my dark horse
tonyl33, Patterson won’t be paralyzed by the zone as much. He’s one of our highest 3-pt percentage shooters on the team. He’s became a lot more versatile this year
