This could mean that they miss the Rio Olympics. They picked up the bronze in the London Olympics.

Bed HeadParticipantThe Sports Minister, Vitaly Mutko, doesn’t feel too "threatened" (his word). Then said something about FIBA "swinging little swords" and not having the stones to keep Russia out of the Olympics.
So sounds like there may still be hope.

European BasketballerParticipantWhat do they mean "could" miss the Olympics? Of course if they were banned from EuroBasket they would miss the Olympics. Are the people writing the articles retarded?
Anyway, FIBA bans teams all the time, and they are almost always re-instated. It’s no big deal. Nigeria was even banned I think before the last Olympics and still played.
