Its been said that he may be on the block and would be a good option to run the point for the lakers.

But what would he realistically be worth for them to give up?

Derrick Caracter, Devin Ebanks and future picks.  Felton is going to walk so might as well get something for him without long term financial commitments.

I can see the Lakers doing that. I think Felton’s definitly a first-string point gaurd and the Nuggets already have Ty Lawson handling the team.

Are those two rookies on the Lakers that good(opinion based question)? They’ve only spent a year with Phil Jackson and not to mention, they got bumped to the d league fast. Raymond has a high trade value also. It’s J.R. Smith they are trying to trade(or just release) he’s not coming back.

You can get more for Felton then Devin Ebanks, Derek Character and a pick in the late 20’s man.

Last year Denver was clamoring LA for the rights to Derrick Caracter. LA wouldn’t budge, but now with the looming exit of Kenyon Martin, a player with the potential of Caracter can be a nice piece to get for Felton.

I can see this move happening, the Lakers are a good fit, and he can position himself to lead a championship squad at PG.

They wanted his rights, but that doesn’t mean he’s worth Raymond Felton. Denver wouldn’t want two dudes that barely got any NBA burn and a pick in the late 20’s.

I didn’t say it was a good trade but what else would the Lakers be willing to give up that would interest Denver?

No clue to be honest. If I was Denver, I would probably need a 3rd team to get involved.

But why let Felton just walk if you can get some kinda value. Even if it’s not equivalent. There is a rumor of the Kings trading their 1st round pick and another for him. So ask why take those picks when you wanted a guy last year that’s there for the taking.

Derrick Character is nowhere near Raymond Felton, and I’m willing to bet he will never get to Felton’s level. I agree on the fact Denver should look to trade him, but they can get more then Character, Ebanks and a pick in the late 20’s.

Ebanks, Character, and one late 2nd round pick. That is the best the Lakers can do while still keeping a pick to fulfill their promise to Julyan Stone. A possible option once the lockout ends, If Nene wants to go to LA, would the Nuggets be willing to do a Felton and Nene for Gasol deal? It is extremly lopsided, I acknowlage that, but this sort like a sign and trade.

Denver wins in all this, gives Ty Lawson the reassurance that he is the guy, usually that helps a guy take the next step.

I can’t see Kobe trusting Ray Felton enough for it to make a huge impact on the Laker’s record.

How exactly is Felton going to just walk?  He’s under contract and several teams will give up far more than the Lakers for him.

    Laker fans frustrate me.
