valentinethi is why im not quick to say (unlike some on here) a highschooler will dominate from day one in college
favors-not a bad first game in the scrimmage win but nothing to call mom about…they barley beat a division 2 team in overtime and favors wasnt as dominate against guys bigger then 6’4 like he was in highschool…his second game was average also wit 10 pts. like i said before the season dont be so sure that these freshmen are gonna come in and just dominate like they did against highschools who were weaker slower and smaller then college guys. its gonna take them some time to adjust to better competition and i still stand bby my saying that this guy isnt gonna micheal beasley college basketball this season as some have said..he has some hole sin his game and is pretty raw offensively although talented..right now he gets by off of his body and athletic ability..still will go top 5 prob because of potenial
cousins-..said it all sumer, this guy has talent but is lazy and doesnt seem to work hard all game just in lil spurts which showed the first game against low level team
wall-hasnt played yet so we will wait and see how he does
ed davis- not a freshman but a unproven player..like i said during the summer he will be the second option down low to thompson and that his offense is still behind his defense and its raw. id keep a close eye on zeller because hes actually further along on offense then he is although davis is a good rebounder and shot blocker..only been 2 games but watching davis he doesnt seem like he will make a big impact on the nba level if he comes out after this year
john henson-..will this guy become a sf,could be, is he one now, no.you can see the talent and potenial but hes not ready to step in a contribute much yet and coach williams knows it which is why hes not playing awhole lot even though unc has played 2 bad teams and blown them out
henry-..now this guy has suprised me..i knew he was good but i figured it would take him longer to adjust although the team they played werent that good he did what he was suppossed to do(play very good against a bad team)..holding out judgement till he plays a good team though
keith gallon-…ive always said this kid can play ever since i first saw him play against findley prep. didnt know who he was at the time but ever since that game i have been looking up old game films on him and like what i see. he not blake but hes not taylor either:)..had a very good first game 18-14 rebounds i think
take into account that the season just started but like i said in the summe ri dont see any kevin durant or micheal beasley type seasons out of none of the guys that some of ya’ll said would be close to them during the summer…each freshman should get better though

TwoCentsTVParticipantSyracuse lost to a Division 2 team this year. Michigan State lost to a Division 2 team a couple of years ago, yet they still made it to the Sweet Sixteen. It’s not as significant as you may think it is. You can’t really judge anything from one game in college, especially against an “inferior” opponent and ESPECIALLY not in a scrimmage. Also, it’s hard to really compare any of these guys to Beasley or Durant. Not only did they put up once-a-decade type seasons, but they also landed in perfect situations, as they were the unquestioned number one options the day that they stepped on campus. The only guy on that list that landed in a situation close to Durant’s or Beasley’s is Favors, and he isn’t as skilled as either one of them.

quincey hodgeswhich is why i said a couple of times that its still early..my point wasnt that these guys arent good my point was that you cant jump on a highschoolers bandwagon while they are playing against highschool competition and say they are for sure gonna come in from day one and dominate. you first have to see them play against guys closer to there hight weight skill level and just as high or higher basketball iq…i said all of this in my post

TwoCentsTVParticipantWhere in the Milky Way galaxy did you get the idea that I said that these guys aren’t good? Did YOU read MY post, sir? Do you think I’m trying to argue with you or something? I mean, I agreed with you on nearly everything except making a big deal about Georgia Tech almost losing to a Division 2 team. I never said that they weren’t good, I just said that they weren’t in the same situation as Durant or Beasley. Whoever said that they would have that type of season is probably the same person that compares every up-and-coming NBA player to a future hall of famer.

quincey hodgeswhen i said you i didnt mean you specifically….you took it wrong..like when you watch espn and a sportscaster is expalining about a team and says” you cant tell me that this team shouldnt be the bet team in sports”..you get what im saying now..my bad if it seemed that way

quincey hodgesexactly…those are the same people..lol…you should check out the old post and see how many people do that..saying favors is a better rebounder then amare or better then this allstar nba player…or wall WILL be the next this or that instead of potenially be…lately i learn to just skip over there comments if they are in the same post and talk to the people who said something before them. sometimes you just have to ignore people like that
