druneave3ParticipantBuild your Favorite Team’s All-Time Starting Lineup, to challenge my Chicago Bulls, good luck.
PG: Derrick Rose
SG: Michael Jordan
SF: Scottie Pippen
PF: Dennis Rodman
C: Joakim Noah
In Rose you have the youngest MVP ever, and he will only get better with his mentality. Jordan is the best basketball player ever. Pippen, obviously also great, amazing defender. Rodman defense and rebounding, can also guard bigger Centers that Noah struggles with. Noah- what is my other option, Artis Gilmore? This team has enough scoring, I’ll take the speed, energy, and passing of Noah.
Lakers, Boston, and Philly will all be tough but this team is sick.

LipstickParticipantyeah the D would struggle but Webber and Cousins would fit well off one another and then that 3 point shooting from Richmond and Peja would be so deadly

C Shaquille O’Neal
If injuries hadn’t derailed Hardaway and Hills careers with the Magic this team would be pretty damn good for an organization that’s only existed for 23 years.
A few thoughts about the other teams. Gilmore should definitly be on the Bulls over Noah. He wasn’t just a scorer, he was an excellent defender, rebounder and shot blocker, and his last couple seasons with the Bulls he averaged just 10 FGA per game, he certainly didn’t need alot of shots to be succesful. Sure that Bulls team has plenty of scoring with MJ, Rose and Pippen but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to have some scoring down low.
I know we have alot of Jazz fans on here so I’ll let them pick their team, but kinda surprising since the Jazz have never won a chip but they’d have a pretty awesome team especially on offense with the likes of Malone (best offensive PF ever), Stockton (arguably greatest passer ever), Pistol Pete Maravich and Adrian Dantley (probably the most under appreciated high volume scorer in NBA history).
Probably the four best teams on here though will end up being the Lakers, Celtics, 76ers and Bulls. IMO in that order. the 76ers will probably have the best front court (A prime Wilt Chamberlain, Barkley and Dr J) along with a frontcourt of AI and Maurice Cheeks, and that’s leaving guys like Moses Malone, Bobby Jones, Billy Cunningham and Hal Greer coming off the bench.

MkadozaParticipantThe Spurs lineup could contend with any team, as was said earlier. Tony Parker, Ginobili, Gervin, Duncan and Robinson? That group would be a handful for any team to handle.

Raef LaFrentzParticipantMinny T-wolves:
PG: Sam Cassell (Billups at back-up)
SG: Latrell Sprewell
SF: Wally Szczerbiak (Sam Mitchell at back-up)
PF: Kevin "The Big Ticket" Garnett (Tom Gugliotta at back-up)
C: Kevin Love
Now this team is pretty bad.. But that front line? Just TRY to get a rebound against them in their primes. Don’t ask them to play D other than KG though.
0- Posted on: Fri, 10/19/2012 - 3:51pm #721915

LipstickParticipantlol I was thinking the same. The would have a loaded frontline especially when considering rebounding, but SG and SF they’re so thin.
Kind of depressing when comparing an all-time T-Wolves team to an all-time Orlando one.

If only they could retain their stars. A team in Canada being a championship contender would be very, very interesting.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantSurprised Amir hasn’t done the Warriors yet. They’d probably have one of the better teams out there:
PG Tim Hardaway/Guy Rodgers (often forgotten he still holds the franchise record for career assists and made four All-Star teams in his career, three with the Warriors)
SG Latrell Sprewell (probably best known for the choking incident he was also a very good shooting guard who could score, pass and defend, made three All-Star teams in 5 seasons with the Warriors before the incident)/Mitch Richmond (only played 3 years in G State but averaged over 20 PPG each year, might be ranked over Spree except Spree has the edge in defense and versatility).
SF Rick Barry (one of the greatest ever, his stats were just silly, if he didn’t go on a major hiatus from the NBA in the middle of his prime he’d probably be ranked even higher on All-time lists./Chris Mullin (Hall of Famer)
PF Nate Thurmond (this HOFer started off playing PF while Chamberlain manned the middle, he’ll do the same here)/Antawn Jamison (put up some nice years with the Warriors before being traded)
C Wilt Chamberlain (the young Wilt was the single greatest stat stuffer in NBA history)/Robert Parrish (Parish was just starting to scratch the surface of his potential with the Warriors but put up two straight years of over 17 PPG and 10 RPG before being traded to the Celtics.
Damn as a Magic fan I gotta say it must be rough being a Warriors fan. Almost all their best players get traded away right as they’re about to hit their prime or are in their prime: Hardaway, Richmond, Sprewell, Jamaal Wilkes (who didn’t quite make this list), Jamison, C-Webb, Wilt and Parish

Betty HowardParticipantThe only thing that Beal is still adjusting to is the increased physicality of the NBA game. That is something NBA veterans will test him on early and often as the season progresses. In Toronto, the 30-year-old journeyman wing player, Alan Anderson, got into Beal’s space in the first half and temporarily got Beal off his game.
