xbadgerhustlerParticipantAnother guy I’m really high on is Greg Monroe. I haven’t seen much of him, but the game I did see he tore it up. I think it was a big east showdown (maybe vs uconn or pitt) and he was all over the place. He was driving, he was hitting the mid-range, showing his vision, showing his rebounding.
He kind of reminds me of Rudy Gay (not at all in how they play), but just for the fact that they both seem to have all the potential in the world, but somehow, they don’t have the mental edge to really take their skills to the next level. I think Monroe would be a perfect fit to a really dominant scoring big (like Big Al Jeff) because he can do all the other things- like pass, rebound, defend- I just don’t think he’ll ever be THE GUY… kinda like Rudy Gay. luckily Rudy has OJ

cookielogicParticipantCole Aldrich…love a guy who was a McDonald’s All-American that joined an extremely talented team, knew his role as a reserve and used that opportunity to learn all he could, took advantage of his brief moment in the spotlight that season going against Mr. POY Hansbrough and dominated him, then comes back as a sophomore and displays all he learned by averaged a double double and throws in a triple double for good measure. He should have another great year improving his game yet again.

0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/09/2009 - 3:01am #198170

marcusfizer21ParticipantJohn Wall – simply just an explosive athlete and a phenomenal player… He can be a top 10 PG in the NBA in 2-4 years from now…
Derrick Favors- freakish and nasty just like Beasley… Georgia Tech is getting a lotto with this guy in.
Xavier Henry- a natural scorer and a very unselfish player… he has that knack for the ball and his shooting touch is good…
This guys are the ones I am looking forward to watching in the NBA.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 08/09/2009 - 12:03pm #198286

JoeWolf1I think he is a sleeper in this draft, i’ve seen him play quite a bit his first two years and with Byron Eton gone he is going to put up 20 ppg plus…He is a similar style player to Xavier Henry, but with more experience, He has been the best player on OSU since he stepped on campus and his high scoring smooth slashing with a good jumper is going to translate to the NBA game i’m looking forward to seeing him play in the league.
