llperezI started this topic over a month ago and got exactly zero replies, so I’ll give it another shot. What are some of your guy’s favorite all-time Finals series. This could be because your team won, a team you don’t like lost, or just a great classic series that you really enjoyed. So let’s hear some thoughts.

jeff416ParticipantMy favorite is definetly when Miami was down to Dallas 2-0 and then DWade put his team on his back and won 4 straight.

llperezI watched was Bulls vs Suns in ’93. Barkley was the league’s mvp and he was running into the great Jordan and his Bulls. That was a classic series with a triple overtime game and a last second 3 by Paxson to finish the series. Maybe the best Finals I ever watched.

llperezwas definitely up there as well. That was a very close series and the whole Rodman/Malone thing was intriguing. Jordan had some great heroics. His last shot over Bryon Russell is how his playing career should have ended. The Jazz crowd is always one of the loudest.

butidonthavemoneyThe only game I’ve seen of the ’93 series was Game 6. Paxton and Grant were the unsung heroes of the early ’90s Bulls.

llperezHorace was having a terrible game 6 shooting wise if I recall correctly, but he made the assist to Paxson on the three and then blocked Kevin Johnson’s last second shot to seal the victory. He and Paxson were both vital to that team.

d-grizzlyParticipantplease don’t judge, but i liked the series between miami and dallas in 05-06. to see wade switch to superstar breakout mode and dominate the mavericks 4 games straight was truely an honor to watch.

uneik1ParticipantOne of my favorites was the Knicks vs Houston series in 94 (even though my team lost) A lot of emotion spent on that series plus the added drama of the OJ getaway. Still wondering how come Riley didn’t put Rolondo Blackmen in the game!
I also loved the first NBA Finals I ever saw where I knew enough about the game to enjoy it. Detroit vs Lakers in 88. I was pulling for Detroit but they lost that one in 7 too.

From_Downtown_33ParticipantIn 08, when the Celtics finally won again.
And in 2005, when the Spurs beat the Pistons in 7 games.0 - Posted on: Tue, 08/04/2009 - 6:28am #195676
billykParticipantBulls vs Lakers in 1991 (Even though it was 4-1 series Jordans play was amazing)….

j1232eParticipantI am a huge jazz fan! In 1997 I graduated high school my freinds and I went on a 18 year old cruise to mexico for graduation. Man it ws great, it was the first time the utah jazz have ever made the finals. I brought some Jazz gear to wear hopfully thinking the cruise ship would have a t.v. to broadcast it. Game one we went to the bar to see if they had it broadcasted, (18 years old can legally drink in international waters) as we walked into the bar, we seen around 30 Bulls fans, face painted and all. It was great by the end of game 3 we had the whole cruise boat fired up for the finals.

adjose5Participantborn and raised in Seattle……i loved the 96 finals…Bulls up 3-0 on the Sonics then the Sonics doing everything they could to win game 4 & 5 but eventually losing it in game 6. Gary Payton finally started guarding Jordan in game 4 & 5, showed why he is the best defensive point guard in NBA history and helped hold him to his lowest fg% shooting out of all the finals he played in and Shaw Kemp emerged as a top 3 PF in the game in the series. That Bulls team won 72 games and were a force and one of the best teams ever. I loved it!!!!! man we miss basketball in Seattle!!!!!
