I don’t expect this to be approached positively, but I’m all for a message board for discussing the “Fantasy” aspect of the NBA. I’m a huge fan of auction rotisserie leagues.

I actually wanted some advice on a trade offer from some valued members. I’m in a 12 Team Keeper league with a 310 Salary Cap. The league scoring is rotisserie and values
    Field Goal %,
    Total Steals
    Total Blocks
    Total Points
    Total Assists
    Total Rebounds
    Total 3PTS Made
    Total Free Throws Made

You are allowed to keep 10 players from the previous year onto your team the following roster pending their contract status. A player with a 1 is in the first year, 2 second year and 3 would have to be contracted at $5 an additional year to be kept on your roster. The values shown reflect their contract going into next season. The left number is their salary and right number is their contract year.

So here’s the deal I’ve thrown at a fellow owner in my league.

    Team A (My Team) Trades:
    Carmello Anthony 39 2
    Kenyon Martin 10 3
    Louis Williams 3 3

    Team B (Other Team) Trades:
    Earl Clark 5 1
    Brandon Jennings 5 1

To get an idea of who is on my roster I am keeping as of now here’s the list.
    Tony Parker 30 2
    Kevin Durant 25 1/5
    Chris Anderson 10 2
    Mario Chalmers 5 2
    Derrick Rose 5 2
    OJ Mayo 5 2
    Jordan Hill 5 1
    Antonio Mcdyess 1 2

I have the $39 Anthony, $10 Martin, $3 Williams, $3 Hilton Armstrong, $1 Thabo Sefolosha, $5 Anderson Varejao, $4 Rodney Carney, and a $2 Kurt Thomas to choose from.

For anyone that follows the fantasy game who should i rightfully keep and what are your honest thoughts of a Melo, Martin, Williams for Clark and Jennings Trade?

Is this a keeper league? If it’s not why would you trade Melo and more for two rookies?

It is a keeper league and I’ve been busy working my ass off and trying to get settled into my new house.

I want to try and get something out of Melo if I can trade him. I honestly haven’t considered keeping him and thought I could get some building blocks to build around Durant, Mayo, Rose.

He’s at value at $39, Caron Butler is $33, Danny Grander at $17 contracted, Not to mention Lebron James is a $68 player in my league. I offered this trade on draft night to the other owner before knowing Jennings Fate. Which i am a huge fan of. if i have this trade I have a core of Durant, Rose, Mayo, Chalmers, Hill, Jennings and Clark to run with for 4 years at least.

I say keep Melo and then try the trade. It is a lot more even of a trade then.

Although Melo’s a great NBA player his fantasy numbers are far from it. He’s not worth more than $46 in a 12 team league.

everybodys saying dont trade but thats just too much for melo. if you can get earl clark and brandon jennings then i think you should do it. they are going to be putting up great numbers soon. itll take a little longer for clark but jennings should be okay from the start.

try and keep louis williams though. just offer melo and martin and see what happens and i think youll be in good shape
