aamir543ParticipantI was curious as to when you guys started playing fantasy, and if it was 10-15 years ago who were the guys that put the team on their back, the sleepers, and just anything else interesting. I just found it interesting that back in the day a guy like Kirilenko would get you 15 and 8 with 4 assists, 3.3 blocks and 2 steals, or a guy like Hakeem who’s stats look like he’d carry the team on his back.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI had the #2 pick. KG obviously went first. With #2 I took…The Matrix! Shawn Marion used to be an absolute BEAST in fantasy.

aamir543ParticipantI understand KG going first and Shawn Marion being in the top three but Marion over Lebron even at that time? Lebron was coming off of a 27, 7, and 7 season with 2 steals a game, although Marion probably did have more blocks.

PyronParticipantalmost 5 rebs more, yes more blocks, higher FG and FT % and less TO..
05-06
Marion
FG 52.5% FT 80.9% REB 11.8 AST 1.8 STL 2.0 BLK 1.7 TO 1.54 PPG 21.8James
FG 48% FT 73.8% REB 7.0 AST 6.6 STL1.6 BLK0.8 TO3.29 PPG 31.4especially in roto i’d go with marion because of his all around production over james.

KHAM83ParticipantI started years ago, can’t remember exactly when, but the Matrix was a top 2 pick. If I could come away with Marion and Ray Allen with my first two picks, I felt really good. Terrell Brandon was alsomy pg of choice. Don’t remember what bigs I targeted.

theprophetParticipantbefore the matrix was antoine walker. he wasn’t a top two pick but he was similar as a stat packer.

jmarg25ParticipantJust imagining Wilt Chamberlain in fantasy basketball…

ilike.panochasParticipantJason Kidd was a fantasy stud, 16PPG 10APG and 6-7RPG plus steals and was durable. A sleeper for me at one time was Jermaine O’Neil when he was traded to the Pacers. I was hoping for a breakout year for him his first season with Pacers and he did. Got him in very late rounds.

j1232eParticipantAlvin Robertson was always a steal in the early middle rounds. I always tried to get Stockton and Alvin then a decent shoot blocker Shawn Bradley. I always won all the defensive categories, Then I would get a bunch of scorers like Alex English and Adrian Dantley. always tried to get a good rebounder with Dennis Rodman and Charles Oakley, then get some decent scoring bigs like kevin willis and jack sikma. Then try to get some good 3point shooters with Jeff Horny and steve kerr, Danny Ainge then I would always gamble with one of the rookies left to draft hopeing they bust out and have a good rookie year. I was always in contention for the championship.

raybeasParticipanton yahoo. Won my first league in 2002. Actually, that was my first year playing four leagues, which I have done ever since, and won three of them. Here is my fantasy profile, where you can see my teams and the draft orders: http://profiles.sports.yahoo.com/user/VD7VF47E6JW77FL3QPP7QP7UG4?sport=basketball&groupby=0&sort=year&order=1.
