Born ReadyParticipantJust wondering what do fans or sixers fans think of evan turner? is he in the fold for the future of the sixers? would evan better be suited on a team where he can have the ball in his hands more like the T-Wolves, Raptors, knicks and suns. Where do you guys see evan in 5 years in his nba career?

SharksBreathParticipantI like Evan but knowing the Sixers they won’t know how to use him.
If they were going to draft Evan they should have immediately traded Holliday and Iggy.
You don’t need them if you have Evan. Secondly having them on the team is going to stunt his grwoth.
He can average 20+ in this league. The main problem with the Sixers is that their are too many players who think it’s their team. From Iggy, Holiday, Brand and even Lou Williams. That’s to much for a rookie to have to defer to for some pretty average players. See Thad Young. That’s not a good thing.
I thought Collins would use him like Grant Hill. Give him the ball and the rest of you get open running screens. Or he could have went big with Turner Iggy and Young. and play post up with Evan.
Instead he asks Holiday and Iggy to do that when both have weaknesses in thier game and the Sixers have no shooters. That’s why you trade Iggy and Holiday.
Holiday is not athletic enough to finish consistently. His pull up J needs work and he doensn’t get by quick guards. Looking at the future of the East you can see Iggy won’t be here when they are ready to compete if ever.
Now if you watched Holiday against the Wizards or Bulls you know Holliday can not help you. I’m looking more at the Bulls and Wizards because with Wall and Rose they are going to own Holiday forever. He just has no answer for thier explosiveness. They both kill him
Holiday is a nice guard but I hope the Sixers don’t make the mistake they made with Iggy. Paying a player who is barely above average at his position yet will never be considered an All Star or one of the top 5 at his position. When you pay guys that type of money like an Iggy and Brand you set yourself up for mediocrity.
And that’s why the Sixers are where they are. Stuck.
