Has been hooping this season. Just hit a game winner off a nice crossover. He plays for Idaho State. He could be the next great mid major guard. He has improved since HS. Yes it is Bassy Telfair little brother and if any of you saw his movie Through the fire Ethan was featured in it as a youngster.

    His last 5 games – 30, 25 and 11 assist, 23, 37 and 7 assist , 23

Glad you noticed. He’s a savage and work ethic second to none with the bloodline to back it up. Should be interesting to see if any love gets thrown his way with draft prospect experts

Now let me preface this by saying I have not seen a single minute of Ethan Telfair play, however, after taking a quick look at his player page there are a few glaring things that stood out. First off, Telfair is only 6’0 175 lb, now this oviously doesn’t immediately rule him out as a prospect since there are several PG’s in the league that are in the 6’0 range (Chris Paul is actually listed at an identical 6’0 175 lb) but his stature is not a clear advantage to him as it is for someone like a Kris Dunn at 6’4 and doesn’t offer the ceiling and upside of even someone like LSU guard Tim Quarterman who measures in at 6’6. Next up, Telfair is incredibly inefficient with a terrible shooting percentage of 38.3% and if he can’t score efficiently against teams like Sacramento State and the rest of the Big Sky Conference, I find it hard to believe that he will improve on that when facing elite NBA players. Lastly, Telfair is averaging 3.4 turnovers per game vs a solid but unspectacular 5.3 assists per game. That kind of assist/turnover ratio will likely scare off NBA scouts.

He’s not 6′ either. Now I havent’s seen him since he played at Lincoln, but he wasn’t a prospect then and I doubt he’s a prospect now.  He’s like a lesser version of his brother, which means he’s probably a long shot for even the D-League.

If his last name wasn’t what it is, this thread would likely never exist.
