mikeyvthedonParticipantThey are up and coming man. I do not know how Lavin is doing it, but he is making them relevant again, and not just in his ability to talk ESPN in getting them on ESPNU. For whatever reason, Lavin is killing the recruiting game right now. He has some serious things brewing for St. John’s and is making noise with that school. I never was a huge fan of Lavin’s, even back in his days at UCLA when he was bringing in crazy recruits who never seemed to put it all together, but if Oregon were getting a few of the guys he was picking up on, than I could have easily changed my ways. I am very glad we got Jabari Brown, and think he is bigger than any single recruit Lavin picked up, but I also know that a few guys he swiped were in out radar, and in his less than half a year at St. John’s he has already done wonders for both 2010 and 2011 recruiting classes. St. John’s is definitely a team to watch out for.

JNixonParticipantKansas State is going to have Midnight Madness! Definitely going to be watching that later on
Big year for us this season. I wonder how we’ll do at the PG spot with Denis Clemente gone. Hopefully Pullen shows that he can play PG well (even though many forget he was a PG largely his Freshman year)

llperezwith lavin at st johns i now have a team in the big east to root for. Love the guy. His coaching is meh, but he recruits as well as anyone and he is a very likeable person. He also just added gene keady to his staff which should not go overlooked.

AndyBeng2ParticipantPersonally I hate midnight madness and all of this nonsense. All of the stupid dancing and such gets old. The scrimmage games are boring and a off the back board dunk fest, it just all gets old, every year it’s the same thing people dancing around making fools of themselves. I wish they’d just introduce the players and have a dunk contest and leave it at that, no dancing around in a circle and doing the jigga boo doo lolol and such, it just looks foolish.

llperezi agree andybeng. Watched about 20 minutes and thought this was really lame. I can see if games were starting next week and this was a little build up, but nope, we still have to wait a few more weeks and this was supposed to be something that was entertaining on its own merit.
