ropeParticipantJust read the story on Eron Gordon’s hearing on his eligibility after a transfer. They decided it is OK for him tpo play JV? Seriously? How is that going to be good for the athelete – or better yet the kids on the other team. A potential high major recruit moving down to the JV level? What a stupid decision.

ChewyParticipantand trying to stay in the middle because of all the media attention they are recieving.
In no way is it fair to take a top player like that and play them against JV. I remember what my high school’s JV team looked like and it would be a waste of time if players like them had to play against Gordon.
If anything, there should be a rule saying he can’t play JV!

ropeParticipantWhen I was in HS a rival school moved a star sophomore from varsity to JV as a disciplinary action. He scored over 60 points against us. I got tired just watching him dunk.

IndianaBasketballParticipantConfusing. Gordon is eligible to play JV, but not V? Makes no sense… He’s either eligible or he’s not. Either he transferred for athletic reasons or he didn’t. I can’t understand this ruling. There shouldn’t be a partial ruling.
He’d be eligible to play V 3/7/15 (sectionals), but I wonder if they’ll take this to court. The IHSAA needs to establish more consistency with their transfer rules.
Gordon had a rough soph season for NC, but there’s no doubt he’ll average about 25-30 easily on JV at Cathedral.
