    does anybody think that erick green could be a decent nba player? maybe i am way off with this because sometimes a college scorer dosnt translate to the nba. but he did lead the nation in scoring. im not saying he will be a star or anything close to that but i could see him ending up like marshon brooks. big time scorer and finds ways to get to the hoop

    I think he’s definitely worth rolling the dice on. Everything I’ve read says he’s a bit of a tweener position wise, but his knack to score is pretty impressive. Right now many mocks have him in the second round, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see a playoff team in the late 20’s grab him as a bench scorer (Spurs have a good track record and picking guys late, wouldn’t be surprised to see him go there).

    The thing i remember most is that he took nearly the most shots in the nation to become the nations leading scorer. That was always the 1st thing announcers said when his games came on tv. It can be misleading though I mean when ur the beat player in ur team sometimes it’s the only option for you to take all The shots.

      He was pretty efficient, though. 51% from the field, a lot of free throws with a good %, and he didn’t turn the ball over much for a high usage player. I must say, though, I haven’t seen much VT these past couple seasons, so I don’t really know how much those numbers mean, I just think he should be given a little credit for his college success.

    well to his credit… his team around him was apparently pretty bad… he had a nice percentage from the field shooting 47 percent on 17 shots for a 6’3” guard and only averaged 2.2 turnovers per game… he probably doesn’t have much more room to grow unless he gets stronger and learns to be a point guard… I think a similar guy in his situation in college was marshon brooks… brooks shot a nice percentage… got his points… but his team was bad and has had an inconsistent 2nd yr with the nets… so were just gnna have to see how green turns out…. def. think hes worth a shot w/o a doubt

    Edit to my last post: 47.5% from field, not 51%, is correct. Still good for a volume scorer.
