I am a believer, have him as my second guy after Irving. It is encouraging to see him working out, and of course he looks awesome (they all do when no one is going up against them), but I am still thinking conditioning will be a factor for quite a while. Will be really interesting seeing how he runs up and down the floor with these other big guys. His athleticism is on point, and he is strong, but working out and practicing is pretty radically different from game situations. Still, it is encouraging to see that he does not look out of shape and still has the skill set that had many of us so high on him as a pro prospect. My top 3 are the usual suspects of Irving and Williams plus Kanter, and I would probably take Kanter over Williams in most scenarios. If he would have played at Kentucky this past year, I am guessing they may very well have won the championship. You never know with the tournament, they probably would have been at least a 1-2 seed instead of a 4, and that would have changed their match-ups, but this guy would have been a beast, more than likely similar to Sullinger. The Kevin Love comparisons are there, though I do not know if he has the court vision Kevin does, but they are both wide big men with incredibly solid skill sets and shooting touch.

Even though he isn’t a legit 7-footer, Kanter reminds me of Bogut. The Horford comparisons seem valid as well.

He’s more explosive with better leaping ability than I originally thought. It almost seems like that hoop is lower than regulation, lol. I think he might be a legit 6-11 with shoes on, we will see soon enough I suppose.

WOW! i knew his post moves and touch were great i knew he had some ranga(but now he looks even better) i knew he had great body but how about athleticism?? yes he isn’t D12 but i thought he was slow under the basket player now i see some hoops..all he need to be as good or even better prospect than Sullinger is just to prove this is the same Enes like in Europe games or nike hoop and this short highlight is nice for him..

Nice video, it was good to finally see something on him, as most fans and draft enthusiasts hadn’t had much to go on. Don’t get too carried away with watching a guy make shots on film; notice they can edit out the misses. Whenever the tape stops and starts abruptly, they’re only showing one make. There wasn’t a stretch where he had more than three or four makes in a row without the film cutting.

I’m curious how physical and competitive he is. I wonder if he’ll have the mindset to be an absolute beast and take over games, or if he has more of a passive type of basketball personality.

If Minnesota ends up at No. 2 or No. 3, based on already having Flynn, Beasley, and maybe Rubio, I think they’d be delighted to add Kanter to the middle.

^^ Yi is one of the most skilled big men in the league, it’s just that a highlight tape doesn’t show how extremely soft and poor of a rebounder he is. Kanter’s video holds more weight because we know he’s strong and a hard nosed player.

Of course you want a better grasp of how he plays and performs at full speed before you pick him as high as 1 overall (It could happen) …if he measures out nice for a Power/Center with that skill set he should be considered the number 1 guy (with Irving’s injury concerns and Williams lack of a true position at the next level)

 Yi looks like a stick compared to Kanter. Kanter will be strong enough to play in the league so thats one less thing teams need to worry about with him.

Appear to be pretty average for a Center, I think he is close to 6’11 in shoes with a wingspan at about 7’1-7’2. Since he is probably around 260 or so, so he might be slightly smaller than most Centers, though his strength should be a decent counter. Scarecrow, while I could possibly have seen this happening, you also need to remember that Kanter is not exactly without injury concerns of his own. When you are as big as he is, their tend to be knee issues, and I know he had surgery at a young age. As did Kevin Love, who has been fairly durable, but has missed some chunks of time these past two seasons. One of the reasons Kevin Love scared a few teams was due to his knees, and while that has not been a major problem thus far, it is something to take into account.

BTPH, my favorite voice of reason, what are your thoughts on Kanter? Honestly, seeing that you usually have the most levelheaded of looking at the draft process, where would you put him amongst prospects? Very curious, and I totally agree with you that highlight videos make just about everyone look good.

Both should have Irving, Williams and Kanter in no particular order…Brandon Knight or Enes Kanter are going to be drafted by Sacramento, I think a Kanter/Cousins front line could be a nightmare for opposing bigs, but the need for a Point Guard lead me to believe they’ll draft Brandon Knight…in a perfect world the Kings trade a future first plus Casspi for Knight or Kanter, then start 4 wildcats with Knight and Evans in the back court and Kanter/Cousins front court, if they sandwich another Kentucky alum and California native Tayshuan Prince they’d be on the right track in my eyes…just an idea…

I want to like him. I believe that there is no replacement for skilled big men, but he has basically played in one exhibition game and a bunch of pickups for the past two years. I also want to like Greg Oden, but it more on ideology as opposed to anything he has done.

I’m not buying his ball fakes on the up and under moves.. That being said I like his game and was disappointed not to see him play in college, but if he had Josh Harrilson wouldn’t have put himself in position to get that overseas contract that awaits him.

But I see your point. He killed U-16 and U-18 comp at a young age, but that is not exactly pre-determination for greatness. If so, all of the people obsessed with Lenny Cooke and Ronnie Fields would have been dancing in the streets to this day (though Lenny was like, 20, in HS). I was at the game last year in P-Town, and he appeared to be the truth. The guys that stood out to me were he, Irving, Sullinger and Barnes. I also liked Knight and Jones, but I thought their title hopes rested on Kanter, though they did quite well without him on a team that played great collective D and had solid length. I am still a huge Oden believer, but I understand your skepticism. Always good to get your POV on things, I was not being sarcastic calling you the voice of reason. 

Scarecrow, I completely agree with Knight being a possible King if they have the 3-5 pick most likely. I see him fitting quite well there, and I think he and Evans could actually work pretty well together. Brandon is much more of a lead guard than Tyreke, who I think would be better off at the 2 with someone else making the major distributing decisions.

While I think he would kill Bismack, I do not think they really have many of these types of workouts anymore. Also, the route Kanter has chosen seems to be one where he is leaving as much to the imagination as possible, meaning he is not going up against anybody. Plus, seeing that he is a likely top 3 pick, I do not think his going number one would be skyrocketing. If anything, Biyombo would have much more to gain out of even working out against Kanter. So, this is not happening.
