treytalkssports.comParticipantI have only seen a few Jazz games this year, but I notice a bit of bickering between players, especially while struggling to play well against the Cavs tonight.
The player I notice the most is Kanter. He just doesn’t seem to have good repore with teammates, whether its in the pick-and-roll or on defense. I see him making faces and holding his arms up a lot at his teammates.
Is this just a frustrating game for him? Is this how he normally acts? Or is this typical of the Jazz team this year?
Any Jazz fans that can speak about the team chemistry out there?

ZachAttackParticipantI’m a HUGE Jazz fan, and I’ve got to say that I’d like to see Kanter go. This isn’t the normal Jazz team and it’s only him. The other Jazz players are pretty good about good attitudes. Kanter just doesn’t want to be in Utah anymore. I must get it out there though that these refs are pretty biased in this Cleveland Jazz game, and I’m not just saying that because I’m a Jazz fan. Anyways, hope that answers your question.

treytalkssports.comParticipantI agree about the refs so far. That foul that Milsap got when James drove and rolled his ankle was a bit questionable.
I don’t know enough about their play styles, but it seems like Favors and Gobert would have a tough time co-existing, and I really think it would make it tougher for Burks, Exum, Burke, and Haywood to get to the basket. It just seems like it would be in their best interest to get a good stretch four in order to develop their guards quicker and maximize their skills.
What would you want for Kanter?0- Posted on: Wed, 01/21/2015 - 6:15pm #963416

ZachAttackParticipantThere’s a lot of things that I would take for Kanter, like Canada said, a good stretch 4. I thought Marvin Williams was really good for the Jazz the last 2 years. They should get Marvin Williams and a future first rounder for Kanter. What do you think?

OhCanada-ParticipantThey should go after a low maintenance big with shooting abillity or stretch four like Jon Leuer, Darrell Arthur, Alexis Aijinca, Ersan Ilyasova, Kostas Papanikalou or something and also acquire assets like draft picks or stashed talent. The new big can compete with Booker (who deserves minutes) for the 3rd big role and as D-Wins stated they would now have a easier time developing their team.
On a side note maybe I’m a little high on him right now but I think Kevon Looney would be a great fit with the Jazz.

TRC1991ParticipantKanter, Favors, Gobert. All 3 are centers. None can stretch the court. Pretty odd concoction of players on that roster…Elijah Millsap and Elliot Williams have looked good though…Exum and Burke? Ehh not so much…

ExumInfernoParticipantUtah needs to move out Kanter, and it’s not just about his attitude problems but also because Gobert is much better for them. Kanter will be hard to trade, as his new team will know he will demand a crazy new contract of $60million. Maybe the Kings want the size he can provide behind and next to Cousins. Kanter and Evans to Kings, Stauskas and D Williams to Utah?
Obviously Gobert is much better for defense, but on offense he is much more active with screens and cutting to the basket. Kanter seems to just want his shots and his money, and doesn’t seem to respect the other Jazz players.
With so much size in the upcoming draft, it makes sense for Utah to move Kanter now and they should get a better fit at power forward in the draft.

kdtriv01ParticipantIf you spent anytime watching Jazz games, then you are aware that Kanter is not the problem. They have become discombobulated on offense. They seem to be trying to make sure Gordon lives up to his contract. Then you put Kanter out of position with Favors or Golbert at the Center position and it doesn’t work. The main issue is their offense sets. They need to figure out a way of playing two big guys as “big guys” at the same time. That being said, I would be happy if Kanter was moved. Washington would be good fit in the likely event that Nene gets injured again. I still say that Kanter can be a pivotal player on a good team.

ncballerIt’s kind of funny that this thread has been started. I have a friend who has an in with the Jazz and he said that Kanter is a big cry baby and that almost everyone on the team couldn’t stand him.
