Mr. 19134ParticipantEnes Kanter…It looks like he is going to remain ineligible with is a different story because I am 100% against them punishing him when all he wants to do is play college ball in America for free unlike Tyler and Jennings but anyways……….
If he is not allowed to play for Kentucky this year what do you think his next move would be? And What do you think his best move would be?
Personally I think going to play in the D League isn’t a bad option this way he stays in the states, scouts can get a closer look at him, and he don’t have to worry about signing a crazy Euro contract.
Moreover I think Kanter could dominate the D League and reclaim his status as a top 3 pick.
What is the lowest you could see Kanter going?
Also Montiejunas and Jonas Volencias is he declares are 2 intriguing names also. I really like Montiejunas offensive potential and he could be a potential number one pick if he even cared about playing defense…And check Jonas out…another sight got him going 4th in the draft which I think is way too high but I could see him going top ten like Biendrins did.

lalailaParticipantMotiejunas and Valanciunas both are from my country, i think Donatas will declare but he is late loterry for me..and Jonas will stay 1-2yrs in Lithuania for sure..
For Enes, i would like him back to Turkey and to show that no matter of 18yrs old age he is already grown man.

Mr. 19134ParticipantNo I don;t think Kanter wants no part of Turkey especially it was his club that gave the NCAA all the info that got him banned…Kanter would declare no matter what most likely and should at worse go top ten. He had is a very interesting prospect I am really high on him and hope the Sixers have a chance to grab him. Valanciunas from what I heard on other sights is learning toward declaring and if he does he will go very high. I like his game from what I saw of it. Reminds me a lot of Cole Aldrich but with more potential on offense and a bigger impact in the future.
What do you think of Jan Vessely he is so fun to watch. AK 47 comparisons are dead accurate but Jan looks like he has the potential to become a better scorer. He is looking like he will be another lottery pick if he enters.
Also I read and article the other day saying Montiejunas has become maybe the second most dominant offensive big man in Europe already. Reminds me of Bargnani but with better quickness and handles and not as great a shot. But Donatus also has some post moves. Only if he could rebound you’re talking about a top 3 no brain player.

lalailaParticipantyes and rebounding is a big deal(that’s why Enes and Jonas are different from typical European prospect)
and yes i like Jan’s playing style but like for Motiejunas i have some big questions if he can play against those 6’10-6’11 250+ athletic monster in the league..

Anton123ParticipantI see a lot of Biedrins in Valanciunas, he rebounds really well and plays under the basket. If he declares I see him going late lottery-mid first
You also forgot Nogueira, he’s way to skinny right now, but he’s a legit 7-footer with good potential
Motejunas is said to have improved immensely in the past year, he’s finally got his three going and is scoring greatly, he can’t rebound or defend at all though. He’s basically a Bargniani clone, maybe an even worse rebounder, though if they don’t force him to play centre, like they do with Bargniani, I guess he’ll be fine
Enes IMO should declare, his body is more NBA ready than those of any big this year and he’s got a nice range of moves

Cardinal_FanParticipantIf i was Enes Kanter i wouldnt touch the d-league or go back over seas, i would continue 2 workout an pair up with a good trainer and continue 2 develop indiviual parts of my game while also getting in to the best shape of my life. I think scouts r so intrigued by him that just based on his workouts against others or indiviual if he performs well a club would take him in the top ten regardless of him playing this year.

mj23mj23besteverParticipantgoing to the d league is a win lose imo for kanter if he goes there and dominates which i think he would he helps solidify his spot in the top 5 in the draft but if he goes there and is even jsut average it completey hurts his stock and rite now his stock is still lottery potential

Mr. 19134ParticipantI couldn’t see Kanter not dominating the D League and at worse he will get a chance to show off his rebounding prowess and his overall skill. he got some nice post moves… Kanter reminds me a lot of Cousins because he can pass, dribble a little, and shoot the mid range game. Plus he gets after ever rebound and loves to bang.
Vessely I think will have an instant impact in the league and should be a late lottery pick. he will have an instant impact because of the passion he plays with plus his all around skill set and shot blocking ability.
Montiejunas has gotten considerably stronger and I do like him as a prospect because he looks like he could develop into a go to guy on offense but his lack of rebounding or shot blocking ability for a 7 footer really worries me.
@lalaila has you gotten the chance to see Jonas play? Besides Kanter he is my favorite Euro big prospect. He will be only 18 come draft time but plays with his back to the basket and not only that he protects the rim and gobbles rebounds. He is a better shot blocker then Biendrins and looks to be a way smarter basketball player. Should easily be a better scorer then Biendrins who I think needs to be on a different team.

Mr. 19134ParticipantOh and Noguiara hasn’t given any indication that he will declare yet but if he does he’s a sure fire first rounder. He is a very intriguing prospect. Has all the tools to be either the next KG of the next McGee

A kid with little in the way of strength or skill while playing in the 4th division of Spain is far from a "sure fire first rounder."

Good luck trying to sell a GM or an owner on using a top ten pick on a player who has not played in a competitive game in over a year.

JoeWolf1I’m actually a little surprised he isn’t in the WWE right now…I’m 100% serious too

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantHe can go the NBDL approach, and probably the novelty of a possible lottery pick playing in that league would fill those arenas.
He might also be able to transfer to a non-NCAA school for the second semester and play there. I don’t know how the rules have changed, but I know that there have been players deemed ineligible by the NCAA who went on to transfer to play at NAIA programs.

Mr. 19134ParticipantKanter’s best option to me is the D League because he will be able to get more exposure and NBA outcast competition

MkadozaParticipantWhy does where Kanter gets drafted matters? The only thing that matters in term of draft position is how many GMS get fired for letting him pass. He an extremely skilled bigman, somethings theres a dearth of in the league. Seriously if he doesnt go in the lotto, I wont be surprised, but I will be disappointed.

scoutguruParticipantDo you guys think there’s any chance he comes back to Kentucky next year if the NCAA says he must miss this whole season plus 30% of next season, similar to the Renardo Sidney ruling? Any chance then? I think there might be a chance given his desire to play college ball here in the states. Idk, just a thought…

Mr. 19134ParticipantThere is not a chance he goes back to Kentucky or even that he is going to be allowed to play. He is a top ten pick regardless i think beause he is just too good too pass up much like Brooke Lopez could only drop as low as ten and that was a deep draft.
