Thunder DanParticipantSome of the young guns on here may not remember but Brand was filthy for a decade. 20 & 10 every night. I always hated on anyone from Duke until he showed up.

trelos6ParticipantFirst 7 years were brilliant. 20/10 every night. Also, a pretty good FT shooter. Lots of big guys don’t play late in 4th q because of this (Jordan, Drummond).
He was also a decent passer and good offensive rebounder.

CameronCrazy11ParticipantAs a Bulls fan, I absolutely loved watching Elton play during his short time in Chicago. Never understood the trade that sent him to the Clippers. Still remember being an extremely disappointed 8 year old on draft night in 2001 when that trade went down.

ChewyParticipantit was a trade sooo dumb, it’s not suprising that even little kids knew the Bulls get screwed.
Krause was an embarrisment. He wanted to prove he could win without MJ so much that he let the defending NBA champions break up… who does that and still keeps his job?

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantIt’s a shame he didn’t get to play on better teams while he was in his prime. The guy was an absolute beast and one of the most underrated players of his era. He averaged 20 and 10 and was usually among the league leaders in blocks despite being only 6-8. If he had kept going at the same pace he would’ve been a slam dunk hof candidate, but he was never really close to the same player after tearing his Achilles, so I kind of doubt he gets in now. He was still a pretty productive player for some decent philly teams late in his career though.

JR RyderParticipantFor a moment Zach Randolph was heading towards same career path as Elton Brand, putting up 20-10 on meaningless teams, until he ended up in a good team that fits his game. Its a shame Elton never had a team that benefited from his talent, I will always remember him as a player who put up great numbers on meaningless teams.

whiteflashParticipantBrand kicked ass in an absolutely loaded Western Conference against some of the best power forwards the league has ever seen [Webber, Duncan, Garnett, etc..] and never got the credit he deserved. He might not be first ballot, but I think he’s a HOF’er.

JR RyderParticipantIf Chris Webber cant get in the hall of fame, then Elton Brand for sure is not getting in before him.
I dont think Elton Brand will be im the hall of fame. Its for great players, not good ones.

whiteflashParticipantI think [hope] Webber eventually gets in. Also, just looked up Brand’s stats and his years after his injury really dug into them, so I think you’re right. He was great for a bit, but couldn’t sustain it due to injuries. Won’t be a HOF’er.
