OhCanada-ParticipantWho’s the better prospect?
I was gonna do Neokilis Avdalas for this one but kind of expected him to pull out as reports stated he was still raw from a professional and maturity standpoint and looked out of place with the game speed. Nique Clifford will do as he is also a jumpo guard with alot of supporters.

NorrinRaddParticipantI’d take Nique Clifford. Egor to me is a better passing Lamar Odom if he maximizes his potential – a pretty good player if you think about it… Imo Nique Clifford does it all though. He’s athletic, plays decent defense, and is a triple threat. He might end up getting picked at 16 to the Grizzlies and end up as good or in a perfect world better than Bane. I’d consider Nique Clifford comparable to a taller Josh Hart. The obvious thing though that Egor has over Nique is age of course. He might have the longer career… maybe… but Nique is so well rounded I’d bet on him being a very good player. I’m glad you did this one… Egor should be compared with a wing and not a guard. His passing is elite, but his handle isn’t.

OhCanada-ParticipantI think your underrating Egor Demin or at least his perceived draft stock. Outside of the top 4 teams hes done workouts with every team in the lottery aside from Houston. #5 Utah, #6 Washington, #7 New Orleans, #8 Brooklyn, #9 Toronto, #11 Portland, #12 Chicago and #13 Atlanta. Theres got a be a team in there that saw his clean shooting form, his work ethic and just his mindset/personality and said ‘yeah this guy is gonna workout and were gonna look terrible for passing on him’.
You know what I mean. I actually think Nique Clifford is the better player. He might be a top 5 player in this draft right now and is defenitely top 10 if your talking NBA ready. He’s also on my shortlist for ROY if he goes to a situation where he can start. But if were talking about who the best prospect is heres my thinking. In this draft lets say everybody reaches their perceived cieling how many players are actually higher than Demin on that list. And now for each of those players how likely is it that they will reach their cieling. I think Demin’s potential is as high as anyones other than maybe Cooper Flagg and with his work ethic and mindset it seems likely he will continue to improve. And if that jumpshot really has improved with all the training he has been doing and he enters his rookie year with a consistent jumper someone is gonna get fired for passing on him if he slips out of the lottery.

NorrinRaddParticipantYou bring up some good points, I’m not sold on his shot as much at least yet. But if it’s legit, that’s a pretty good player.

HitsterParticipantI have to say I agree with what Oh Canada has stated so well. Nique is the better player now but Denim has more upside and size and thus has more draft appeal on potential. Nique should be a pretty safe pick and is the sort of guy who I could see having a 10 to 12 year NBA career no problem as a complimentary starter or a top bench guy being the sort of player that contending teams like.
