TRC1991ParticipantThese are for CURRENT NBA players even though the evan turner/penny hardaway comparison was perfect!! so here’s what i got so far:
John Wall-Derrick Rose: both are explosive, good scorers, super athletic..wall probably more polished than derrick, derrick a little more aggressive
Derrick Favors-Michael Beasley: Ironic how picks 1 and 2 from last year are comparable to the probable #1 and 2 picks for 2010…both are 6’9” with above average athleticism, nice outside shot, can play SF or PF
Evan Turner-Andre Igoudala: Andre may be more athletic and Evan better ball-handler but both are capable of putting up 18, 6, and 5 and can play multiple positions, both are active defenders too
DeMarcus Cousins-Marreese Speights: Neither work overly hard on defense and both are immensely gifted offensively both are a mix of PF/C with no jump shooting abilities yet but both are TERRORS when they have the ball in the paint
Wesley Johnson-Josh Howard: Both are long, 6’7”, small forwards with good hops and can score from anywhere on the court yet cant seem to find superstar mode
Willie Warren-Gilbert Arenas: 6’3-6’4” combo guards, no real position, can be incredibly good scorers, better with the ball in their hands but not exceptional outside shooters or point men
Cole Aldrich-Nene: They make look nothing alike but both are super athletic, similar sizes, are aggressive scorers, not overly talented offensively (roughly 13-16 ppg type players) and above average rebounders but not superior
Al-Farouq Aminu: Thaddeus Young: 6’8” each, very long, same college, same builds, same skill sets. both can play small forward and shoot the rock or take it to the hoop, neither are going to be 20+ ppg guys but they could do 16, 6, and 1.5 blocks
Arnett Moultrie-Solomon Jones: I hate to say it but Arnett doesnt seem like more than an athletic shot blocker with mediocre scoring and defending skills, he seems like a late 2nd rick pick to me, hes 6’10” and long and rangy but so is Solomon. Arnetts in a bad league and doesnt dominate other big men.
Jerome Jordan-JaVale McGee: Both are young and raw, legit 7-footers with nice skill sets but probably wont develop entirely for another couple of years
Tyler Smith-Sam Young: Mature, solid, both with potential to do amazing things on defense, both around 24 at time of draft, athletic but not explosive scorers, decent shooters. small small forwards (6’6” each)
Sherron Collins-Kyle Lowry: Solidly built, good penetrating, good scoring, not the best passers or natural point guards. Too small to be considered serious NBA point guards (5’11” 200 each)
just a few of my thoughts, let me know if you guys agree!

JNixonParticipantAl-Farouq Aminu isn’t that much like Luol Deng to me at all once you get past the fact that their about the same exact size…

JNixonParticipantDeng has a better handle, mid-range, and better post skills than Aminu. Aminu doesn’t have a real good jumper or handle for an NBA wing player, while Deng is damn near automatic from mid-range and can create his own shots from time to time. Young is like Antwaan Jamison more so than Luol Deng anyway.

NorthernLights666Participant“lol favors better d?…how did you come to that conclussion?..so far favors hasn’t had to check any body close to a nba big man”
Because his athleticism is on par with Stoudemire and every post player that’s a draft prospect can play D better than A’Mare. Meaning he’s A’Mare with a better Defensive game, not necessarily good at D yet.

TRC1991Participantfor some reason i thought young went to wake for a second…anyways, i think favors and beasley are similar cuz theyre both left handed (check me on that) good shooting big ben with not a definite position
