My name is Earl too so it is cool that he want’s do go by his name. Hopefully now with so many black people named Earl that are in the spotlight, people will not think of that show called my name is Earl and the dixie chicks song about Earl dying. I get tired of people saying they think of some white country person when they hear the name Earl.

His name has nothing to do with his maturity… its just makes people think it. Like when everyone was saying how Carmelo is maturing because he cut his braids. he was probably tired of dealing with the stereotype that are associated with them… Just another measure of trying to satisfy stupid people by changing an appearance. It doesnt matter what you call your self, how many tattoos you have, or how you wear your damn hair. If youre mature you will behave as such, and these outward ‘signals’ of maturity are laughable.
