JNixonParticipantI said during the draft that Earl Clark was the 3rd most talented player in the draft (behind Griffin and Jennings) and I stand behind that. I think he’s a sleeper (probaly longshot) for he R.O.Y. He’s a perfect fit for the Suns and is a Boris Diaw type player with guard skills and a combo forward’s size. He is already a good looking rebounder, passer, and defender and has a decent shot. He’s a guy that has plenty of upside and is that rare SF/PF that you can run an offense through if you choose. I see borderline all-star ability in him and his former college teammate Terrence Williams…
Maybe I’m overrating him haha, but how do you feel about him? Do you think he has the ability to be a fringe all-star like I do?

Henry25Participantyeah i do, I think that the Phoenix system will be great for him, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him starting after a couple of games. He needs to be more agressive though.

MagikKnickParticipantI love him also, surprised he doesnt get talked about more often on these forums…
I actually dont think he’ll do good this season, i think he’ll end up being a late bloomerBut nonetheless, I still think he’ll be a good player in this league, i think the Suns will love his mismatch ability, he can bring the bigger guys out to the perimeter, and take the smaller guys down low…plus he has good court vision and passing skill for his position/style, not to mention he has the ability to block a short or 2

gregoden08ParticipantHe doesn’t have the “it” factor about him…He also is extremely inconsistent and unreliable. When he is focused, was one of the best players in college basketball.

JoeWolf1I really like his game too. He could work on his strength a little, but he versatility is going to really be an asset to Phoenix this season. He’s definitely going to be on an all-rookie team this season. He reminds me more of a young Lamar Odom. You mentioned Terrance Williams and I read an article the other day about him, it said he has really impressed people in training camp with his energy and athleticism, if Terrance can develop his shot, I think he can be a real solid player too.

BlazermannParticipanthe is a rebounding boris diaw and a shot blocking one and as of it factor i can name 2 all stars that people say dont have the it factor jo johnson and my man brandon roy both those guy dont get the respect they should have

sheltwon3ParticipantI say he will be at least as good as Odom which is not bad company. Odom is is solid but Inconsistent. I am sure the Suns could accept that to some degree.

IndianaBasketballParticipantClark is as talented/versatile as they come, but I have questions about his toughness… Especially mentally. He didn’t seem to always play hard at Lousiville. Once he adds strength and develops a go-to mentality, I think he’ll be a star.

L.ShapParticipantHe’ll learn to get that “it” factor. You know why? He’s surrounded by Grant Hill, Steve Nash, Amare Stoudamire and Jason Richardson, guys who all know how to take over. I have no doubt this guy is for real.

marcusfizer21ParticipantTalented big man like him is rare… The Suns will get a lot from him… He’s 6’10 and can play the 3 and 4 positions… I love his game because he reminds me of Tim Thomas with a better work ethic…

sheltwon3ParticipantYall hear that Randolph is 70 foot 230. I just wanted to say that because Clark is young enough to grow and inch and he is definitely young enough to where he will add weight to his frame. I hear on defense he is already good.He is around a lot of unselfish and savy vets. It will be hard for him not to be good with all these positive players around. Amare may be the biggest question mark and his work ethic is ridiculous so it will be hard for Earl Clark not to be good. I see him taking a bit of Amare, Hill, Nash, and Frye.

McWinningParticipanthell be good i think his versatility will make him a good player but hes not tough enough and i don’t think hell be as good of a rebounder as Marion. i like the Odom comparison don’t know if he will be an All_star but he will have a good career.
