Would the rockets trade Kyle lowery for a high lotto pick like the number 6th or 8th, then package all there picks plus money fillers for Dwight? McHale get his big man to play with Kevin Martin, and company. Just a random trade thoughT

Wouldn’t the Magic rather have Lowry than the 6th or 8th pick? And Magic wouldn’t trade Howard for the 6th, 14, and 16th picks. Just because Rockets might be willing to rent him doesn’t mean they don’t have to give up a ton to get him

The magic would want to completely rebuild straight through the draft, so they can get Lillard instead of Lowry. Or they can pick whoever they want.

At utah side : Big al for K.martin

I realize they want  the pass first PG , and i think the jazzfan prefer to trade Big Al with 1st round draft.

This trade might work out in the ‘ESPN Trade Machine’ but it will never happen.

Utah would want more that just Kevin Martin in this trade.

Portland will definitely want more than just  Lowry for the players and draft picks that they are giving away in this proposed deal.  Crawford just declined his player option for next year and may not be back since he wants more money so Portland would want to hold on to Matthews.

Orlando would want any team trading for Howard to take Hedo as well.

I also don’t see Houston trading away Lowry right now since Dragic is a UFA and will get some good offers from other teams and may leave the team and  if he does leave you now have  to hope that Williiams signs with  Houston. With Martin going to Utah in this trade, Lee becomes the starting SG but he is a RFA and could leave the team as well so Houston could  potentionally be without a starting PG and SG.

For those reasons mentioned above, I highly doubt that this trade would be accepted by all teams involved.

     ORL gets Martin + Scola + Lowry + Dalembert + 14th pick + 16th pick

HOU gets Howard + Turkoglu + Davis

     then

ORL re-signs Ryan Anderson & trades him to Sacramento together w/ the 14th/16th pick for the 5th overall pick

** they end up with Martin, Scola, Lowry, Dalembert, & 5th pick

It’s nice to dream, but Houston isn’t on Howard’s list.  Would you really give up that much for a rental?

houston does not have the right pieces to get howard or the cap space to get what howard wants a "championship team" they don’t have the tools for the trade

ORL gets Aldridge, Batum (re-signed), 6th, 11th picks

POR gets Howard, Richardson, 19th pick

POR still has cap space to pitch to D-Wil

Howard doesn’t have a say where he is headed, management will do what is best for ORL.. Brooklyn may have the  cap to sign both D-Wil & Howard; they don’t have the assets to trade for.. POR has nice young assets & picks to  make a trade.. & they have the cap to sign both players.. the idea may entice Howard to sign a long term extension

Of course Howard has a say.  If he refuses to sign long-term, why in the blue hell would Portland surrend Aldridge for a chance to keep him, let alone Aldridge with all that?  That’s ridiculous.

so what you are trying to say if Howard insisted on playing for Brooklyn; ORL has to do the trade just to satisfy him even if it means getting mediocre return? Howard wants to play with D-Wil.. POR could use that to entice both players.. learn to understand 1st before reacting

New GM for the Magic and they obviously have some issues. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Dwight get traded on draft night since the sentiment seems to be he won’t stay. Who knows though so hard to predict.

At least they hired a SA/OKC guy.  That culture seems to be working, just a bit.  This also means I’d assume, if they follow model, they trade Dwight for young pieces, not established stars.

If Dwight was on the block then you look at the teams with the high picks this year:-

Hornets will draft Davis and keep him, they now have Lewis’s huge expiring deal to go with the 10th pick. If Orlando couldf get Eric Gordon via a sign and trade then a deal could perhaps be worked but would Dwight sign long term in New Orleans even with Davis there I wonder.

Bobcats have 2nd pick but no way Dwight would resign with them although you could see MJ trying to make the trade.

Washington have just made a trade so any chance of D12 going there now would be very remote.

Cleveland could be an option, Dan Gilbert will want the team back in contention ASAP and they have multiple picks due plus a young PG in place. If Dwight would commit long term to them then some combo of Thompson, 4th pick, picks due from Miami, Varejo for D12 and Turko could work with Clevaland resigning Jamison to play alongside Dwight.

Sacramento again not a big market team and Orlando would want DMC in any trade.

The Lakers will also surely look long and hard at D12 and with Rashard Lewis now at NOH, I wonder if the Lakers could try to get Lewis and 10th pick for Gasol. This gives Anthony Davis a quality big man running mate for a couple of years, the Lakers then use 10th pick plus Lewis’s expiring deal to package with Bynum for D12 and Hedo.
