CavFanPRParticipantThat’s awesome for the rockets. Lakers are gonna suck but at least they have some cap space. A Harden/Dwight duo is gonna be fun to watch.

Ghost01ParticipantHouston could contend in the West. They need to add a little more depth, and maybe they could trade Asik for an asset.

Toronto16ParticipantHis agent Dan Fegan just told Yahoo sports that this is not true. Listen, if it’s not Andrian Wojnarowski breaking the story, do not believe it. He is holding out hope that Golden State can work out a sign and trade with the Lakers.

Y! Sports: Dwight Howard is leaving Los Angeles, finalizing a free agent deal with the Houston Rockets. http://tinyurl.com/lkcvllz

HitsterParticipantThe report is on breaking news on frontpage of NBA.Com, so it must carry some weight. Ironically Sam Presti maybe made this trade happen by moving James Harden to the Rockets. Without Harden I would not have seen them landing D12.
Interestingly D12 has gone long term by linking up with 23 year old Harden and not staying or playing with 35 year old guys. The older guys may still be elite but Harden could have 10 plus years at the top which appeals to D12.
I do like the ide of Asik to Atlanta, he would allow Horford to move across to PF and with all the top FA’s gone then Atlanta would be as well paying Asik $14 million plus in 2014/15 as they would hae paid more to Smith or maybe another FA. Houston could throw in a young piece and a pick to do the Josh Smith S and T and the Rockets look legit again.

Ghost01ParticipantYeah, how awful was the Harden deal. A potential top 10 player in the league this year for Jeremy Lamb and Steven Adams. Good god.
