BKKnicksfanParticipantLA has the best asset back for Orlando in Andrew Bynum. If I was Orlando, I want 3 1st round picks if I’m taking Bynum back, mainly because his injury prone problems.

ghrghrParticipantOrlando is kind of my second team, I like them ever since Penny Hardaway played there, but If I were Howard, I would be asking for a trade the minute I stepped in the locker room after the Atlanta game. The trades they made were good on paper, but they turned out to be awful. JRich is a great player, really like his game, other than that the players they got are playing very badly.
About the trade, if he gets traded to either one of those 2 teams, the trade will definetly include Bynum or Lopez. If I had to choose one of those 2 to build around I would choose Lopez. I believe his rebounding will bounce back and he doesn’t have Bynum’s injury problems. If you want to build around a guy he can’t miss half of every season. Lopez also has a great offensive game.
Lakers picks aren’t worth much and the Nets don’t have much to give, so I think some other team has better chances.

Of course those picks wouldn’t be lotto picks, but if your getting picks back for Howard, they aren’t lotto picks like what Utah got. Those 3 1st round picks, along with thier own draft picks and Bynum, plus the fact Orlando would be getting cap space in 2012, 2013 and 2014 would mean Orlando would be getting the chance to rebuild.

SwatLakeCityParticipantI really think the Clippers are the best place for him, and they can get him pretty easily with that 2012 draft pick from the Wolves. I’m not quite sure how the trade would look, a trade like this is too hard to predict, but the Clippers would be the perfect team because they have a budding superstar in Griffin who can only get better playing next to a great Center like Howard, and then they have second fiddle SG in Gordon who is improving every game. Howard would be much better in LA because he wouldn’t have to carry the team by himself like he does in Orlando.
I especially like this trade because it gives the Clippers a chance to compete against the big brother Lakers.

kngojcParticipantThe Clippers trade would probably be the best trade. Using the pick from the Wolves and their own could for sure bring some serious interest from any team. I’d like to see them trade Bledsoe, Kaman, those two first rounders, and Al-Farouq for Howard and even Earl Clark or JJ Reddick. I think the Clippers going forward with Williams, Gordon, Clark, Griffin, Howard would be scary at any time. Surrounding the two posts with shooters would be terrifying because you have to double team both Howard and Griffin any time they get the ball in the post and I don’t know if its just me, but Blake Griffin has a great ability to pass out of doubles. That could set up any number of players, Gordon being the key target, of open three’s. That would be like a more advanced Orlando seeing as how they would have two stars in the post.

HotSnotParticipantOrl lost because of Dwight tonight. I know I know, 46 and 19. Its so obvious that Orl’s game plan is to bully the Hawks frontline with Howard. Howard had the ball all the time and put up 37 (11 didn’t count because of fouls)shots tonight. Whats the problem? Other then the the fact that the Hawks KNEW this was going to be Orl’s game plan…Howard’s offensive game is still pretty average. If your the opposing team wouldn’t you want a decidely average offensive player to take half the other teams shots? Throw in Howards below average FT shooting and this is where the game was lost. STOP forcing the ball to Howard and running the offense through him. Pick and choose the spots you let Howard iso. Use him in the pick and roll. Keep him moving through the paint all the time, the more he moves the harder he is to defend. There maybe quarters where Howard might only get 2-3 shots… which is fine. There will likely be a quarter later in the game where he get’s loose on the break, has some putbacks, lobs and maybe and iso or two to mix things up. For the love of god stop being so dam predictable.
The Hawks won the season series 3-1… and are now up 1-0 in the playoffs. Obviously the Hawks developed a better defensive game plan since last years humiliating beatdown from the Magic. VanGundy better step it up or the Magic will be lucky to get out of the first round.

the I in winParticipantA player isn’t going to sign to a team just to be traded to a team that will be at the bottom. If the Nets were able to get Howard and then sign West they would have a great front court and a great point guard, wings are easy to find.

sheltwon3ParticipantHumpries is a nice player to have with Howard because they are both active on the boards. Deron williams would have solid big men on offense and defense plus they have shooter in "The machine" lol and Morrow.
Also I am sure other teams will have better deals but Howard will probably go to where he wants to go and unlike Deron Williams who lost some of his leverage, Howard will just not resign with team he does not want to be with.
This could be a Melo situation all over if Orlando is dumb about it. Although i am thinking if Howard gets moved Orlando will try to dump another bad salary on the team that is taking him. NJ can probably absorb that better than LA unless LA include Gasol/Bynum. I actually think Lakers should do that because they may have to take Arenas contract but you have to think Kobe will get the best out of Arenas. Howard can make up for Gasol lost as well as Bynun. Odom is a perfect post passer something Howard has not really had. Kobe is also a pretty good post passer. Arenas could get wide open looks from 3’s because you have to double team Howard now that he is catching the ball deeper in the post and has Kobe Odom, Arenas on the perimeter. Gasol is nice but replacing him with a defensive minded banger in his prime is a better move.

HitsterParticipantHouston are another team with lots of picks and young pieces they could throw into a trade although getting the salaries to balance aren’t obvious.
If Dwight does go FA in summer 2012 then I’d guess that the Knicks would be involved considering him along with CP3 and Deron Williams.
A total wildcard could be Boston if they decided to blow it up this year as they have a pick due from the Thunder, the restricted rights to Green, Glen Davis, Avery Bradley and they own all their own first round picks going forward I believe and so they could send 3 first rounders perhas plus some young talent and easily balance salaries with one or more of their expiring veterans ( Allen, Shaq, JO) etc.
