MettaWorldDurant1ParticipantI know they’ve both had great seasons. It seems as though Durant should win it but I don’t know if this will happen because you could also argue for Lebron stronly as well. Magic Johnson is riding the Durant bandwagon but people don’t wanna call it too early… what do you think with about 4-5 games left?

MettaWorldDurant1ParticipantTo add tonights game Vs the Nets should be a big one for Lebron being that they lost the last matchup by 1. I think he will try n dominate this one

omphalosParticipantI think it’s Durant’s award this season, he’s been the front-runner all year and has been the most impressive player in terms of what he’s accomplished.
I’d be very surprised and disappointed if Durant didn’t win it this season.

TyroberParticipantDurant has it locked up. LeBron has had a fantastic year obviously, but some of the voters have to be tired of voting for him by now and Durant has been amazing all year long. Getting 25 points in 41 straight games and counting is simply amazing. Durant has a higher PER than LeBron as well as scoring more points, rebounds, and blocks. Durant is scoring 5 more PPG than LeBron and I would be SHOCKED if he doesn’t win it.

HitsterParticipantThink it is finally KD’s year, King James may have to come 2nd for once.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantRemember that Sports Illustrated cover when he said he was tired of being 2nd? Durant will finish 1st in votes for the 2014 MVP…. …
Joakim Noah- Should finish 3th or 4th in MVP…. .Great Leader….They lose Rose kept rolling and they trade Deng yet kept rolling….The Bulls wont win the title this year, but Noah has kept them competitive…….0 - Posted on: Tue, 04/08/2014 - 1:31pm #886996

IndianaBasketballParticipantI don’t think "voter fatigue" will have anything to do with it.
LeBron James has had an amazing season, but Kevin Durant has been the best player in the NBA this season.
I still think LeBron is the best overall player in the game, but I think Durant is extremely close to being his equal.

ballislyfe25ParticipantLeBron is the best player in the league but Durant has been "Most Valuable". If Miami had only Wade and Bosh to go along with the rest of the team, they could still make the playoffs and probably be a top 4 team in the East. Without Durant, OKC might not even make the playoffs in the West, and he kept them in the top 2 spots without Westbrook. While averaging 32 ppg on over 50% shooting…

Andrew1984ParticipantI just want to see them meet in the Finals again. Whichever one doesn’t win the MVP will have a chip on his shoulder. LeBron will be playing for his third title and Durant his first. Rematch of 2012 Finals. Two best players in the game. Seven games of punishing, hotly-contested, intensely-defended, physical, fast-paced basketball. So many story lines. So many great players.

OhCanada-ParticipantDurant is having one of the most incredible seasons in NBA history. He is averaging near 50-40-90% (87%FT) on 20 shots per game, 6 3pt per game and 10 free throws per game. He is averaging 7.5 rpg and 5.5 apg. His per is higher than 30 and also higher than Lebrons for the first time in his career, and he did this and led his team without Westbrook for half the season. He was the only Allstar on his team. Durant is putting up career highs in scoring, scoring effieciency, and playmaking. He has to be the MVP.
At the end of the day both guys want the playoffs MVP. Once the postseason begins the regular season MVP means alot less.

headcaseParticipantHe passed jorden in the 25plus game mark, he deserves extra credit for all his defensive qualities as well, maybe an MVP is well deserved!
