Well I think this run and the way Westbrook has played pretty much guarantees that he will not be a Celtic or be playing anywhere other than okc. Beside going to cavs or warriors there just is not a better situation out there.guess I will just pray for Ben Simmons. Until that dream dies tomorrow night.lol

The West is So tough…….. Clippers, Spurs, Warriors & Thunder would All Dominate the East & be right there w/ Cleveland……..

This is the first time the Warriors are playing one of those other 3 Big teams in the Playoffs….. The West is Brutal…… & All those top 4 teams are neck & neck & any one of them can come out of the West each year……

& KD is not leaving OKC b/c it’s his Best chance of Winning a Title…… & the guy Desperately wants to win a Ring…….

At the very most he’ll do a 2 year deal w/ an Opt out after one…… but I still don;t see him leaving…. these top guys want to be wanted & they luv be courted but in the end they almost always stay….. All the talk of KD leaving is Media generated hype…….

Steven Adams Enes Kanter combo is becoming lethal.

I do agree with the OP. The more success KD/OKC has the less likely KD is leaving anywhere. Kanter and Adams are tough together. Boston better get a top 2 or I will be depressed TBH.

Ditto what Op said but instead for my Lakers.

At best we had a "slim and none" chance of signing Durant, but after OKC got past the Spurs and beat GSW in game 1, I think "slim" just walked out the door!

KD can get best contract deal with the Thunder, he has a fellow top 5 player in Westbrook alongside him so logic says he stays.

If I was KD I’d take 5 year deal but put a couple of player options in to give him some freedom, leverage, also get no trade clause. He stays with the Thunder but it is under his terms.

East is so much easier, but can Durant leave a team that (might) make it to the finals?

still a chnace to play with Curry, Thompson AND green? (it is possible)

i agree tho, especially if he beats GS, but if he loses, he will still have not got back to the finals in 5 years

Adams and Kanter are TOUGH.  Then you still got Serge Ibaka aka Good Darryl Dawkins/Bad Darryl Dawkins.  Dion Waiters is a tough kid who can score.  Like what he did.  Roberson looked decent.

Ok, there was supposed to be this Warriors Dynasty thing.  But the Thunder’s Left-for-Dead Dynasty may be coming back to life.

KD-Russ remind me a bit of the early nineties editions of MJ and Pippen.  Then as I said yesterday, the rets of their roster reminds me a bit of that initial 3peat: length, size, rebounding, defense.

Now, I STILL think they need a third guy.

Looks like they have the BIG TWO.

Then a really dangerous 3 big man rotation.

Dion Waiters can be their combo scoring guard off the bench.  Roberson works at times.

Not sure who is out there, but if they can get a guy who can get them 15 points a night, run some offense, shoot the 3, and defend a position or two, then they will be really, really dangerous.

Not even sure it needs to be a starter — I think it COULD be a 6th man.  Or, a 6’10 multi-dimensional freakishly athletic combo forward who can hit 3’s, dunk, block shots, help out on the boards, and get you about 11 or 12 points a night like Robert Horry.

If I am the Thunder, I get an upgraded back up point guard really quick.  Then I go out and get a Rasheed Wallace type.  Bring him off the bench with Enes Kanter.  Then you have a FOUR HORSEMEN big man rotation.

I think if they want to go for a slightly better upgrade at the 2, then they should look at Courtney Lee.  He is a guy who can get you about 15 a night.  Ok, well, 20 one night, then 10 the next.  Good shooter, solid overall scorer, really good from mid-range, decent defense, can handle the ball some, and is a pretty good athlete with decent 2 guard size.

This is a good thing. Having top-3 players in the league leaving their team and reshaping the entire league isn’t good in my opinion.

    Franchise players shouldn’t be mercenaries.
