Im surprised no one said much about this game. Kyrie surprised me with his outstanding defense on the first team all american Pullen. he stuck with him and when pullen would shoot kyrie wouldn’t really try to black it he would just pull a shane battier(put his hand/arm in pullens field of vision) This kid is playing better then i expected. I figured he would be fighting for the starting point guard spot but he clearly has that on lock. Im starting to see the cp3 comparisons. Hes not that athletic and isn’t a blur on the court but hes very smart, high basketball IQ and fundamentally sound.

Duke had a balanced attack with Nolan smith leading the way although he didn’t shoot particularly well. Kelly had Lil help for the wildcats. I’m starting to think wally judge made a big mistake going to ksu and should probably transfer to Maryland:)

Wally Judge really, really makes me mad. If you want him at Maryland, good luck with that. His IQ is lacking, he plays nervous, and he lacks instincts on both ends.

Kyrie Irving really looked good. He plays at his own pace, really is a smart player and passer, and he has strong quarterbacking skills. He’s only decent as a shooter and he’s not as explosive as Paul is, but he really has some CP3 qualities.

Nolan Smith looked good. He’s the leader of the team and he really looks good shooting off the dribble. I like how he plays D too. He’s a good on-ball defender. He’s a funny looking guy too. His nose doesn’t match with the rest of his face.

Seth Curry and Andre Dawkins are strong shooters with their feet set.

Mason Plumlee has nice athleticism and length, but he needs more strength and toughness.

Curtis Kelly played OK. His length really allows him to get a variety of shots. He fumbled the ball alot and was very turnover prone though, which is weird. He usually has solid hands. He’s still getting back to himself though, after sitting out the 1st 3 games or whatever it was.

Jacob Pullen played the worst I’ve seen since he was a Fr. Not only did he struggle with his shots, but he ran the offense shaky and his lack of quickness really showed against Smith and (ESPECIALLY) Irving. And Pullen is usually an outstanding defender.
