I’m not trying to unrealistically defend Duke, but this has been a game where Duke has just been terrible and everything has gone right for Maryland. That being said, it won’t help Duke’s 1 seed potential very much.

But what has been so frustrating about it is that it has just been a foul fest. These refs have called everything and both teams basically shoot FTs every time they drive.

Who is going to fill in all these 1 seeds? GTown just went down as well. Zaga and Indiana are basically locks, and Kansas IF they win the Big 12, but the last spot or two are still toss ups.

I think Miami can get the number 1 seed now if they win the ACC Tournament

Louisville/Syracuse (whoever wins that game), Kansas, Miami (if they win the ACC tourney) are probably the best bets to fill in the other two #1 slots.

Syracuse will not be a one seed at all. Honestly, if you think Cuse is a one seed over Duke then you are being 100% in the moment and taking no consideration for the entire season. Miami was lucky to get by BC today, they are a long way from winning the ACC Tourney. And Kansas only impressive NC wins are Ohio State and St. Louis, and they lost to TCU and got obliterated by Baylor who won’t be in the tourney. Duke has beat Louisville, played one of the toughest schedules in the nation and doesn’t have a bad loss.

Syracuse never will be a one seed, if they win the big east maybe 2, more likely a 3. Also Duke should get credit because a lot of losses came without Ryan Kelly, but also Duke beat Louisville when Gorgui Dieng was injured. For me Indiana, Gonzaga, Kansas if they win big 12 and 1 out of Duke, Miami, Louisville

    looking like

    Gonzaga
    Indiana
UofL (if they win big east)
Kansas (if they win big 12)

Michigan St or Ohio St if either wins Big 10 and either Uofl or KU don’t win.

    Last two games: 25.5 PPG 70% FG (16-23) 100% 3PT% (4-4) 94% FT (15-16). He’s a guy we’ll be talking about in a couple years, I think he’ll be a legitimate draft prospect.

To me he is a guy who’s game will translate better to the pros. He just needs to keep refining his long range jumpshot and don’t get complacent with the rest of his game.

Miami will definitely have a chance at a #1 seed but this loss doesnt keep Duke from a #1 seed. It only keeps them from getting a #1 overall seed. Knew MD was gonna do them in, 2nd time they beat em this year. Duke struggles with athleticism, which MD has plenty of. Funny that a lot of people just automatically pick the top two teams in the conference to win the tourney. It dont work like that. The ACC is much more than just two teams.
