Rdf1212ParticipantWe all know about Derrick Rose’s injuries.. But could he be the first MVP to not be inducted into the HOF? I don’t think we will never see the DRose of before.. And I think that his chance at a HOF career is slim. Even at his young age.

WITNESS2014ParticipantAs much as I hate to say it, I don’t see Rose coming back to his MVP form. There is no telling to how good he will be once he finally comes back. Russell Westbrook came back to old form, but I cant think of any other point guard with that kind of injury, that was an elite athlete come back to that elite form. Being that Rose relies on his athleticism so much its hard to see him being a top pg without being having that explosiveness. He will be 26 at the start of next season so he still has some time to pad that resume if he does come back like the MVP version of himself. He might be able to change some parts of his game to help his team be better though. I wish him the best of luck.

HaleParticipantUnfortunately at this point it seems like it. The youngest MVP ever may be the only one to never make the HoF. That really sucks.

GrandmamaParticipantHe’ll be 26 beginning next year, so he definitely has time to build on his resume. The big question is, will he be the same player? If this year was any indication, probably not. So sh*tty seeing superstars injured in their prime.

ksmith9ParticipantThis is so sad. Back in Rose’s good years he was truly amazing to watch. I don’t have full cable but for some reason I get Chicago teams through my cable network. Watching Rose play was truly breath taking. He was so fluid and scored at his will. His dunks were spectacular, and he even got very good at the three point shot towards the end before his injury. I pray he comes back fully healthy and has no other issues. When I watch him or Steph Curry I just sit back, because it is like paying for a movie.
On an off note: It’s sad that soo many electrifying athletes are pegged with injuries. Luckily Lebron has missed the bug, but as a whole it seems the more naturally you are at playing a game the more likely you are at getting injured…Between Rose, and Curry(who we all know is an injury waiting to happen), and as a Seattle fan watching Percy, I just say "Please don’t go down on this play." Sucks that players of this caliber get dampered by injury

Obviously he wasn’t shooting the ball well in those games, but I didn’t think he lost a step more so taking bad shots. If Mirotic is the real deal and Noah can stay healthy there’s no reason the Bulls can’t get a championship, which would propel Rose into the Hall for sure.

I saw last year Nate Robinson step in his place and play outstanding and get the bulls in a good playoff seed. This year I am seeing DJ Augustin who is a decent back up look terrific. The Bulls will always be a solid team because of the way they defend, rebound and the system they run, but let’s be real… They’re not a championship contender without Rose. When healthy, Rose is a top ten player and one of the few true superstars in the NBA.
I see no reason why Rose can’t reach MVP status again once he shakes off the rust. Physically, I see no limitations in his game. There was nothing wrong with his reconstructed knee and he’s currently hit the two year mark. His left leg is probably stronger than his right at this point. And the meniscus tear he suffered won’t affect his athleticism at all, especially since they were able to save it and not cut it out.
Unless there’s something wrong with his body that he can’t prevent or it’s just not built to withstand the grind of a NBA season, I see no reason why he won’t get back to that superstar level.
