okay so its around 1/4 of the college bball season and a lot of games/scouting left to do. during that span what prospect(s) do you think will make the biggest jump in the draft?

    my pick:

Renardo Sidney: for the past 6 months he was consistent stayed within the 25-35 range and all this without playing a single college game! touted as the best plater of the class of 2009 i know i myself cant wait for when he plays his first game. msu has a pretty weak front court and in addition no big man depth so i think he’ll get a lot of PT from the start. hes had more than a year to get in better shape so lets just hope hes done just that. if he can have a remotely good season (lets consider 12/6 remotely good) i really think he can jump ahead in the mock drafts, maybe even late lotto. he really has a great opportunity to do so. he will get the minutes and he has the talent. i mean, the guy has been absent from the basketball world for more than a year yet is still projected (as of now by nbadraft.net) a 1st round pick. can you imagine when he does play how much he can help his stock IF he produces and shows what had him so highly regarded as a high schooler.

I know a lot of these prospects can slide/fall in the mock drafts.. but who do YOU think will make the biggest jump in terms of draft position??

No one has risen more than Kemba Walker. Although he is scoring at a ridiculous rate, it has also made it clear that he is a score first/pass second PG, which can be a good and A BAD thing in the NBA.

i dont necessarily think hes a score first point, he just needs to be on this team full of young guys

hes had a couple ten assist games this year. as his team matures over the season look for him to defer to his teammates a little more.. he is an exciting player to watch thou when he scores like he has been

Having a bunch of assists doesnt stop you from being a score 1st point guard….Iverson,Marbury,Steve Francis and Jameer Nelson are score 1st pgs…

Watchout for McGhee of Pitt…His offense is limited..But he’s a great defender

    Eli Holman of Detroit

    Norris Cole of Cleveland State

Scotty Hopson is rising probably, as are Demetri McCamey and Jordan Hamilton.

kemba walker is probably the biggest riser, but another player who is improving his stock is Trevor Mbakwe.

being a junior transfer, who sat out last season, he’s a bit older than most juniors, but he is averaging 14 ppg and 10 rbp, while also averaging a block and steal per game and he is shooting 61% from the field. standing 6’8" and 240lbs, he is slightly short for a prototypical PF at the nba level, but his long arms and exceptional athleticism and size will make it hard for nba teams to overlook.

the gophers only games versus potential nba prospects were north carolina (henson, zeller) and west virginia (jones), and in both of those games mbakwe looked physically superior and overall the better player.

mbakwe was hardly even considered a 2nd round pick going into the season, partially because legal trouble kept him off the court, but now he may be able to sneak into the late 1st round if he continues his strong season

Kemba Walker: He has definitely been the biggest riser thus far.. but I feel as the season goes on (and im pretty sure he wont have a string of 30 pt games in the big east) his draft status will fall just a little bit. the only his stock went so high was bcoz of that amazing run he had earlier in the year but thats not gonna happen again once the conference schedule starts. his draft status now is as high as its going to be. had a younger, bigger point guard had a run like that (corey joseph for example) he would be easily projected as a sure fire lottery pick while Kemba at best was just outside the lottery.

another guy i like is kenneth faried of morehead state.. call me a sucker for  athletic, undersized, rebounding big from small/mid major conference schools but the last time a guy like that came around he turned out to be pretty good (paul millsap) now im not making any comparisons bcoz millsaps offensive game will always be far superior but i feel faried will find his way into the early second round. NBA teams can always use those "garbage" type of players with more than decent athletcism who hustles on every play. guys like kris humphries, reggie evans who i feel have similar games to faried will only help his stock

Kemba Walker, he was viewed as borderline 1st rounder b4 this year an now he is lottery to mid first rounder, I think he has the oppurtunity to pass Brandon Knight this season on draft boards.
