I think this year, Andrew Bogut has prove all you impatient fans that you have to be willing to wait to get something good – and proving the point further that the wait with big men is worth,
Before this season some of you were calling him a bust and now hes their best player, proving his number 1 pick and incontention for a all star spot next season. ala chris kaman
Do you think that with all the rookies and sophmores and draft of 2010 bigs, that in 5 years time they will be dominate players
    and
did you think that someone was gonna be a bust and turned out to be a star?

i did with andrew bynum haha

+ whens blake griffin playing, i heard at xmas that he would be back by february 1st but now its almost march and i havn’t heard much

I still don’t think that Bogut’s play justifies his number one pick when Paul and D-Will were there, although he has been playing great this year.

LaMarcus Aldridge was a guy I didn’t think was going to turn out the way he did.

i never thought bogut was a bust, he just can’t be considered a real good pick when paul and dwill went after him. He is having a very nice year and is a good all around center.

As for guys i though twould be busts but later developed, hmm…

I remember saying Kevin Martin would be out of the league by the time his rookie contract was up after his first season. Obviously i was wrong about him. I was one of those idiots on here comparing Steph curry to eddie house. I’m sure there are plenty more.

i always thought bogut was very good but that had alot to do with watching him play while living in utah and playing in open gym with him. he actually came in playing pretty well so its no suprise to me. as far as bynum i was the main one with kobe saying trade him for j.kidd. im very very glad thaey didnt trade him now though. i also was big on kwame but it was because i was young like ome people on here nd was blinded by the hype and what people were saying plus jordan drafted him so there was no way he wouldnt be good

quincey, i can honestly say that when kobe was calling for bynum to be traded and laker fans everywhere were pissed at kupchak, i was standing behind kupchak the whole time and thought someone needed to put a muzzle on kobe. I knew bynum had the potential and you don’t trade a 19 year old 7 footer making rookie money for a 35 year old pg making 20 mill.

well, i never thought Bogut is a bust because i thought he was given limited opportunities compare to Paul and Williams… i would say bust only occur if the player himself doesnt play well. like Darko, i thought if he was given a better opportunity in his early days in some rebuilding team other than Pistons, who is already a contender, his path may not be as bad as it seems. sometimes i think bust occur because teams are not drafting according to needs, or not giving the room to grow and develop.

i know a guy says some guys are who they are because of not getting alot of time early in there career, but if a guy doesnt get time early in there careerand gets time later and still dont do anything because of say confidence, doesnt that mean they werent gonna be a staror real good to begin with?. because a true star or a player who is truley good wont let there confidence get so down that there talent doesnt show when they eventualy get time. j.oneal sat on the bench for years but when he finally got the light he shined becuase he was destined to be good and always had that talent. same with nash. some players just dont have the top talent that we thought they had. if a guy like kobe, lebron, melo, rondo, rose, eric gordan, would have went to real good teams and barely played there first couple of years, do you think they still wouldnt be good when they eventually played? no because the cream eventually rises to the top if they are talented

I also never thought Bogut was a bust. I knew he would be worth something to someone. Infact when he was being drafted back in like 2006 I wanted Utah to draft him so bad, but I knew it would never happen. I just think he is on the wrong team, so he is not getting that much creditability and his play is going unnoticed.
One player that I thought would be a bust is Charlie Villanueva. I thought Toronto made a big mistake by drafting him so early, but it appears that did not happen.

How about Tyson Chandler and Eddie Curry, I think Chandler not really a bust but he never really developed as expected for someone drafted so highly. Eddie Curry – no need to comment.

lol..yeah i think curry is more of a bust then chandler. most people said chandler prob will never be a big time scorer but would be a rebounder/shot blocker
