Smith can play the other guard position beside Simmons and guard the other team’s point guard.

I don’t think Fultz is the greatest fit beside Simmons as he is ball dominant and not a great defender. His best position on this team is 6th man brining instant offense coming off the bench. Could start all 3 if they wanted.

 I don’t think that’s the only reason. Williams didn’t improve much at a&m and there are some real questions about his work ethic and character. And Robinson didn’t play college ball and barely worked out for any teams so there isn’t much of a profile to go on.
