2quick4uParticipant1. lonzo ball looks like the nº1 player in the class to me so far.. of course we’ll have to wait to see how prospects perform in the tournament. in many ways he looks like jason kidd as he’s able to make others better and do whatever it takes to win, but ball is way more athletic and can hit the 3 so he has another dimension in his game. we’ll see if he can take the bruins to the glory..
2. josh jackson keeps improving his shot and his confidence is growing..if he can keep that consistency with his shot i think he’ll be nº2 and have a shot at nº1 depending on his performance in the tournament..he can help in so many ways, can play the point and create for others, great instincts, has athletic tools, plays hard defense, rebounds, high motor, intangibles..he could be a scottie pippen type of player..
3. markelle fultz is the favourite player in most mocks, but not playing the tournament could hurt his stock if others perform well.. as a young freshmen he’s having a great all-around season but also rises questions about his transition to next level and his natural position..personaly i see him more as a SG in the mold of dwayne wade..i see a lot of wade on him, that pace he plays with, that mid range game with those floaters and jumpers, those spins, the way he finishes at the rim and those blocks..
4. dennis smith is having a pretty good season considering the injury he had..too bad he won’t make the tournament but i think he’s showned enough to be a top5.. hard to find a comparison for him as he’s shown so many faces but he could be something in between steve francis and kevin johnson..
5. TJ leaf is my dark horse..yes i know most people will tear their hair but to me it’s incomprehensible he’s that low on mocks..to me he’s a monster that is just scratching the surface of his possibilities..when i first saw him i thought he looked like christian laettner but the more i see him i think he looks like a modern version of kevin mchale..if he just learned that pump fake..
6. jayson tatum is rising his stock..he already has nba moves that could make him a very good scorer at next level, but can he be a franchise player? not sure..he plays like something in between tobias harris and danny granger.
7. malik monk is a massive scorer, and he actually has the tools to be something more than a scoring machine but, will he develope at next level into something more than a one dimensional player? i don’t know but i’m sure he’ll score at bunches..not sure the type of player he’ll be but he can score like beal or mccollum, no doubt..
8. jonathan isaac is all about potential..i know he’s a lot higher in most mocks but after watching ingram struggle at next nevel, i’m a bit cautious with him..still, depending in how he finishes the year will determine if he goes higher, but right know i’m not sure if he’s ready for the nba..
9. de’aaron fox and ntilikina are similar prospects..both athletic, very quick on his feet, good on defense, good potential on offense, with questions on his shooting and with as many tons of potential as with doubts on his game at the next level..will they be the next exum or the next wall?
10. lauri markkanen has the things modern basketball demands..height, solid athleticism and a very good hand for a PF so i’m sure he’ll produce at next nevel, but in the other hand has mediocre defense, rebounding and rim protection so..will he ever be anything more than a solid role player? may be but for the moment i’m not taking a higher risk than this..
11. harry giles used to have lottery potential, well actually nº1 potential but..not anymore, at least for the moment so i hope he stays in school another year..at least..instead, robert williams has appeared in lottery mocks out of nowhere and well deserved..could he ever develope into something like horford? may be that’s a reach but could be worth the risk here..
12. miles bridges still has some to say before season is over..the guy can contribute in so many ways and his athleticism is elite, which combined with solid height and a good 3 point shot that equals a very interesting prospect.. josh smith?
13. there’s a bunch of centers like justin patton, isaiah hartenstein, zach collins, john collins, jarret allen, bam adebayo or ivan rabb, with some potential that could turn them into good starting players.. place your bets!
14. luke kennard is having a very good season but nobody seems to be impressed.. the guy is shooting the ball extremely well while scoring 20 a game for duke.. to me he’s one of those players you always want to have in your team as he can offer so much..if he was available in top 20 i’d take him..

LA12ParticipantI see TJ Leaf on an almost daily basis, so I’ll let you know that all those criticisms of him needing to gain weight have truth behind them. He’s got huge potential in my eyes because he’s an underrated athlete with a lot of skill, has finesse to his game, has a great motor and plays with a chip on his shoulder. He just needs to gain some weight so he can bang down low in the NBA.
