theprophetParticipanti will say it again, this team has as good a shot as any right now. thirteen games in a row. after beating the thunder in denver earlier in their streak, they just put the smack down on the thunder in okc! six of the thirteen games were away so although the nuggets are nearly unbeatable at home, lately they are proving to be a formidable road team. did anybody see kenneth faried bring out the s.w.a.t. team out on westbrook? this team is built with great speed, team work, and unselfish play and are well coached. nobody wants to see the nuggets right now.

frogmanParticipantI don’t think anyone is sleeping on them. This is the biggest win of their season. Just proving to themselevs they can beat OKC at OKC is huge.

GronounoursParticipantBothTeamsPlayedHard asserted a couple of days ago that Denver would lose to Chicago and OKC, two games on the road.
When I noted yesterday that they had won against the Bulls, he made up a not too convincing excuse.
Now Denver has beaten OKC. Things are becoming tough for our Nostradamus.
I’m picking on BTPH not because he was wrong – everyone is wrong on a daily basis -, but because of his abrupt tone. It’s always like “chut up you ignorants, let me reveal you my Thought, which by the way is also the Truth”. It’s pretty irritating.

omphalosParticipantI remain doubtful about the chances of Denver to excel in the post-season; they do great in the regular season because their depth allows them to stay fresh and energetic the whole time, but with more days off in the post-season coaches shorten their rotation and it becomes more of a half-court game, something Denver can still struggle with.
Honestly, I’m still not convinced they’ll get out of the first round, no matter how well they are playing going in; much like the Pacers, I just don’t think this team is built for post-season success right now.

meirmeir13Much like the Pacers? they have one of the most complete teams

omphalosParticipantBoth teams have all the pieces except for the one that is critical for a deep post-season run; a superstar player. Paul George might get there someday, but despite an All-Star selection, he’s not ready yet.

DolanCareParticipantThe Nuggets match up with the Thunder very well. Any team that takes a lot of jumpers and plays fast will get eaten by this Denver team. They are the best team on the fast break right now (minus the Heat), so that already negates how the Thunder get a large portion of their baskets.
However, the Nuggets match up far worse with the Spurs mainly because the Spurs can score down low. Even though Kosta is playing well, I don’t think he can contain Splitter and Duncan during a 7 game series….. I perceive the same problem with the GRIZZ as well.
I could be wrong, but I just can’t see the NUggets taking the West if it means they have to take on San Antonio/Memphis.
But if the Spurs/Memphis get knocked off, I think the Nuggets have a shot.
