NYCarolinaParticipantI look at the top two players in this draft: Derrick Williams and Kyrie Irving. Cleveland could pick either or. When I look at Derrick Williams, I see a little bit of David West, but I also see some simlar tools of Glenn Robinson and Carmelo Anthony. With Williams, I think you get a offensive mismatch who can also give another strong rebounder in the frontcourt. With Kyrie Irving, you see a poential Chris Paul point guard. With the NBA combine having him as 6-3 in shoes, what about Rod Strickland as a comparison? Just a thought. With both players being potential all stars, could the argument be made Brandon Knight and his upside is the deciding factor for the #1 pick? If you like Knight and think he’s a potential superstar, wouldn’t you take Williams with the idea of getting Knight at 4?

NJHooper95ParticipantKnight is a not a better POINT GUARD than Irving. But if you want to take Take Williams 1st, Kyrie will not be there at number 4, so Knight would be a great pick. I think Knight is a better shooter than Kyrie, but as far as penetrating, passing, and running a team Kyrie is the better guard. I dont know if Knight’s ceiling is all that high, to be a superstar. I have to take the wait and see approach on this one. Oh yeah Rod Strickland one of the most underrated guards to ever play the guard. Rod could really hoop.

French FlairParticipantI explain it in my mockdraft comments… I see Knight much more of a Chauncey Billups type of player in the future.

LOFTYParticipant@french flair the #1 problem i saw with your mock was the jazz picking Alec Burks at #3! i think the highest he could go is 6…..please explain your pick

French FlairParticipantFor the Jazz taking Alec Burks at the 3rd position, I think he’s the best fit at SG for them and he will be taken before the 12th choice… the other SG available in the draft at the 12th spot is overrated (K.Thompson) and can’t create his own shot and J.Hamilton will certainly be more effective at SF.

chevilicousParticipantProblem with that is they have hayward, his natural position is the 2, and the jazz want to play him there, seeings as the matchup problems he could pose for oppenents with his size at the positon. Although i like Burks 3 is really high for him, and i gurantee they will take kanter or knight with the 3 pick. They would be better suited to fill the SF position with their 12th pick with either singleton or hamilton.
