I know everyone is like probably wondering what I am thinking. Somewhere along the line there is going to be a better player than Jordan it might not be in my lifetime. I am tired of people saying that Jordan will be the greatest player of all time. I mean he is the greatest right now but how do you know someone in the future will not be better than him. Sometimes when I watch Kobe play some games, I can’t help but to put him on Michael Jordan’s level sometimes even better. That is right I said.

right now Jordan is the best ever imo. but I truly believe Kobe is just as good, he just needs to get the titles and maybe another mvp award. Lebron can defenitely be the best when it is all said and done, but again, he’ll need some titles.

kobe is just a step below jordan. he is in his mold but is all about scoring and needs to get his team more involved like mj did. lebron could be the best ever if he gets more of a team around him than mo williams and an broken down shaq

Kobe is no MJ, as much as everyone wants to compare the 2, Kobe WILL NEVER, i repeat, NEVER match mike. Please please go to this link i put up, watch some videos and then comment.

kobe is a better scorer than jordan even though mike had some ridiculous scoring seasons. I think Kobe is a better scorer. And when I say scorer I mean that he more gifted in scoring the basketball. Everything else goes to Mike.

Kobe is slightly below Jordan in some aspects but also better than him in some ways as well but I still think unless Kobe gets 7 titles, I would have to say Jordan gets the edge and as great as Lebron is unless he leave Cleveland for a team that is built a lot better, he will not get the rings to be discussed as the best ever.

jordan was more efficient with his scoring. He would take one or two dribbles then pull up or work the mid range game better. He also did more defensively, although i think it’s easier gaurding guys in the 80’s and 90’s like dumars, richmond, and miller then gaurding today’s wade’s and lebron’s. Kobe is a better perimiter shooter and ball handler. The thing is, that Jordan did it first and he dominated his era. The guys being compared to him like Kobe, Lebron and Wade all have to battle each other and win 6 or 7 titles if they want to be better then Mike. But if you put the accomplishments asside, I think Kobe is just as talented a player as Mike was.

exactly rudeboy. Each generation pushes the next generation to greatness. Jordan raised the bar for everyone. There was no one with as complete a game as he had. He could shoot, post up, defened, rebound, pass, and he had unmatched passion with all the creativity and athleticism you could want. Add in the success and he raised the bar real high and some people would never give the newer generations that respect regardless of what they do. But the league keeps getting better imo. I think Jordan would be just as good as Kobe and lebron and wade in todays game but not neccesarily better. It would be a lot of fun to watch all them battle.

the biggest difference between the two and i hate to say it, is team mates… Kobe IMO has had a better supporting cast throughout his career than JOrdan has. Now with this said, Kobe might very well have put up the same #’s, and won the same ship’s with Jordans squad but unfortunately its something we will never know. Jordan won a ship’ with Pippen n role players.. Kobe won a few with shaq, and most recently with arguably one of the deepest starting lineups ever.. Gasol, odom, Ariza, kobe, fish (alone is better than any tm Jordan ever played on)..

So maybe there on same plateau otherwise, but do to what jordan did, with what he had, hes a step ahead in my eyes.

kobe’s definitely got plenty of help, but you can’t argue with what he has accomlished with that help. He might have 5 titles right now if Malone was able to play in the 2004 finals. He was a huge part of that team, and watching rasheed light up Slava Medvedenko for 5 games still haunts me. plus they were missing two starters during the 2008 finals as well with both Bynum and Ariza out who could have provided that toughness they needed. Again, watching Pierce light up Radmanovic is the other nightmare i keep having, lol.

In my eyes, 10+ titles gets Kobe by Jordan(not 7, 10)

3 tiltles gets LeBron the #1 spot, in my eyes.

Until the end of time..Fans will be asking who’s better.? Folks were asking will Magic be better than Oscar..AND when Jordan came into the league will Jordan be better than Dr.J? I believe if Kobe had came into the league before Jordan..Folks might be comparing Jordan to Kobe…Jordan used his failures for motivation…What’s pushing Kobe is the fact he knows that Lebron doesn’t have a ring…His 4 rings says right now he’s the best..The thing that will make Lebron better are those that say Kobe is the best in the league….And what’s pushing Wade are those who say he’s the 3rd best player in the league..

I think Lebron will pass Mike and Kobe, then he’ll get passed by someone in the future. There’s someone being born right now that may revolutionize the game after Lebron and after that they’ll be someone. I doubt we’re watching anyone that’s going to be the best player of all-time, because players get better and more physically gifted with time.

If they get titles, Lebron has the best chance..
but someone I think coud nd up being the best payer in the league is Kevin Durant.
If he can improve a couple other assets in his game, he can do it.
    The offense is there.
Call me crazy, but he can get there,

Too many excuses esp. when Odom would start on most teams.

yeah they are excuses, but it’s not like I said we would have won had we had our starters, i just said we might have. Just like all the celtics fans were saying last season when KG was out. And it’s a viable opinion. Losing 2 starters in Bynum and Ariza hurt, especially when they are two of your better defenders. And your the one that needs to go back and watch if you don’t think Pierce lit up Vlad. Vlad was starting and playing 20+ minutes with Luke walton as his back up. Kobe was not matched up on Paul. You might want to go check out those games yourself NYK.
