If you are a fan of a NBA team do you like/agree who many/most of the mock drafts have as the player your team will take?

I am a fan of the Bulls.  I realize that it will be difficult drafting where they are to find a player who will help a team that is trying to play for a title.  We went through this in the Jordan era.  It is just tough to find those players late in the draft.  Still I hope the mocks are wrong.

I agree they need a SG.  Most/many mocks have them taking Mack, N Smith, or Selby.  IMO the Bulls don’t need a 6-2 or 6-3 SG.  One of the many things they struggled with in the Heat series was the length of the Heat wing players.  The Heat were always in the passing lanes and contesting shots.  Granted if the players mentioned were 6-5 or 6-6 they would be drafted much higher.  I think a backcourt of Rose and any of those players would be undersized.  The NBA has changed since Thomas and Dumars were able to win with a backcourt that sized.

With their other pick I have seen mocks with Singler and Parsons.  The Bulls do need to find a backup for Deng so he dosen’t log the minutes he did last year.  I just don’t think they will be athletic enough to play the 3 in the NBA.

If they draft 2 players in the first round (no trades) and #44  I would like some conbination of Harper, Tyler or Vucevic for a big with one of the picks and two of Shumpert, Liggins, Lighty, Butler or wildcard Hopson and hope that one of them sticks.

Of course I would hope they trade up by offering Gibson or Asik and the #30 pick to get a legit SG and then find the replacement for Gibson or Asik with the #28.  Someone like Tyler or Veceric for Asik or Harper, Thomkins or Jonhson for Gibson.

But I am just a fan not GarPax.

So do you like who your team is mocked to get?

I think whoever they get at #2 or #20, they won’t keep, so it’s kind of irrelevant for my team. I’m really hoping the Wolves can get a legit SG- I really liked the idea floating around about #2 and Flynn for #5 and DeRozan.

Yes I am a Mavs fan (no im not a bandwagon I have and still do live in the metroplex).I like what I see with Harper and he is a player that would fit in because he is a shooter that can post up . He also allows Marion to be a solid bench player for Caron Butler when he is back. I think Harper has alot more potential then people think he has .If he adds some muscle he could have a Rashard Lewis shot(but not as quick) with some Chris Bosh faceup and post moves which would make him a very versitile player

I’m a Celtics fan, and I don’t want them to pass on Jeremy Tyler, who could be a great player down the road. Trey Thompkins has similar issues (conditioning) but not the potential/physical tools of Tyler. Rivers is known for handling difficult personalities and getting them to put the team first, and now that he’s here for the long-term I want him to do this with Tyler.

I’m also a part-time Charlotte fan and am not impressed with Marcus Morris as a top-10 pick. I can’t see him being more than a role-playing starter, which isn’t enough for a top-10 pick, especially with Alec Burks still available.

Pistons: yes, we need a point guard and a center bad. we’re either drafting a defensive big or a point guard. I’d prefer to go center and get the big lithuanian because he is a great fit for when he comes over, but kemba is still a great need

Hornets: No, we have Jack who did a great job last year, i can see them going either big (benson), small forward (butler), or LaceDarrius Dunn who i beleive will be a marcus thorton 2.0

as a Spurs fan i would be satisfied if we land JaJuan Johnson with our #29 pick. he is underrated player, i think he is ready player who could be for us a good role player right away, he fit well with our bigman status and could provide us length and athleticism we luck.

I’m a Bulls fan as well.

My ideal draft for them would be Justin Harper @ #28, Shelvin Mack @ #30 and Jimmy Butler @ #44

I think they could use another big man after losing James Johnson last year and Kurt Thomas’ potential retirement and they didn’t dress a 3rd string point guard last season and Watson doesn’t have a long contract so a young pg with some upside would be another ideal pick for them and Jimmy Butler most likely won’t be available at #44, but I think he’s going to be a great value pick in the 2nd round and with all the minutes Deng logged last season another versitile small forward would be a good idea for Chicago to address in the draft.

     to kobyz the spurs fan

wouldnt you rather get some one like Jeremy Tyler who has the potential to help right away and plays center instead of power forward because thats where Tim Duncan is and i think Dejuan Blair shouldnt be playing C because he is only 6’7 and Matt Boner isnt that physical rebounding C he is more of a shooting pf.Then Tiago Splitter looks pretty good and i think be a good quality C in the future but Mcdyess wont last long so I see Jeremy Tyler being a better fit then Jajuan Johson.

@rileymcshea3, Jeremy Tyler is not ready to help right away, and Spurs would never draft him even if he has talent, Spurs don’t draft players that their biggest problem is luck of desire and drive!

As a TWolves fan I really don’t put much stock into the mock drafts for the TWolves because Kyrie and DWilliams don’t make sense on our roster so there’s definitley going to be a trade there, unless the Wolves really like Kanter.

So I’m more interested in options for trading the #2 pick and what we can get for it, to help the weaknesses in our lineup…SG, C.

Raptors/ Bulls fan.. Im not sold on Vesely and would love Brandon Knight to fall to the Raptors.

Bulls, im fine with them taking Nolan smith or Josh selby to replace CJ watson type player coming off the bench. but the SG is their biggest need..

This site has us taking Charles Jenkins out of Hofstra which wouldn’t a terrible pick for us considering we only have one pick and it is in the middle of the 2nd round.

My ideal pick would be a guy like Jimmy Butler or DeAndre Liggins.  A defensive minded wing because I want us to package Marvin Williams in some sort of trade with Kirk Hinrich to land us a center and give us the cap room to resign Jamal Crawford.

I’ve always been a fan of defensive minded wings becuase playing the the East those guys will be counted on heavily when you are battling with the likes of D-Wade and Lebron.

And taking Markieff Morris is a nice idea: he’s what we needs besides a Center. But he can always play some Center if we want to space it up (we play Marreese Speights at C sometimes so why not Markieff) and he has an  interesting jump shot for a big man. Also something that isn’t in the spotlight is his productivity, he has all these numbers playing only 24mpg so in 36 so if he played as much as Jimmer he’d have something like 20ppg 12rpg 2apg 1.5bpg 1spg which are pretty solid numbers apart from the shot blocking area where he can improve, this given that he’s a decent defender.

To sum up, he’s a nice pick for my Sixers.

Mavs fan here Justin Harper looks a very good fit,a shooter who plays PF fits our system that said I wouldn’t mind to get Mirotic instead ,we are in a position to wait and Rick Carlisle don’t use Rookies a lot anyway

I don’t like any of the options for Boston. I see the reasoning behind Tyler or Thompkins, but neither guy is going in during the playoffs. The ideal situation is trading the pick for an established guy. Tyler and Avery Bradley would provide a great "farm" system for the Celtics, so I’d take Tyler if I had to.

Laker fan here, assuming they don’t acquire a first round pick somehow, I’m hoping they get E’twaun Moore from Purdue. I also follow the Bulls a little bit and hope they can get a shooter (maybe Goudelock) since Korver was in that slump….

@JJeff as a suns fan how can you like those picks?!?

If you truely are a suns fan you want to surround Nash with something that will help him.  There is no one at 13 that can replace Nash it would be a waste.

What i want the Suns to do:

    #1 wish

Move up and some how acquire the #2 or #4 Draft Knight or Kanter.

If they draft Knight, we can finally let Nash free( brings tears just saying that) and get something good in return possible 1st rounder next year and young talent.

If Kanter hopefully they didnt give up Gortat and they have a amazing front line for the future to work with.

#2 If they are stuck at 13

I would be happy with Motie, He would be horrible on defense but that is why you have Gortat. Im just praying he turns into a mini Dirk.

Jordan Hamilton would also make me happy, kind of reminds me of Dudley but the kid can shoot lights out.

    #3

Forget this draft somehow try to acquire as many picks for next years draft.
