I love Darius Johnson-Odom. I think he’s a great pick-up for anyone in the second round. His scoring tools seem similar to Marcus Thornton, but based on his combine numbers he’s a superior athlete.

I see him as a legit scorer on a bad team, or a very quality role-playing scorer coming off the bench on a good team.

He’s gonna struggle to guard bigger 2’s because he only has a decent wingspan for his size, but with a big PG next to him that can be offset.

He actually reminds be a lot of Gilbert Arenas entering the draft, but I am NOT saying he has any chance to become the elite player (30 ppg) that agent zero was in his prime.

    Thoughts?

He reminds me of Charles Jenkins, both are strong athletic, undersized 2’s that can score

Probably won’t get drafted due to his underwhelming size as a 2 guard, but WILL make it to the league through FA. Like AZcats09 said, he’ll probably find his niche as a dominant off the bench scorer for a bad team.

Man I really hope DJO gets a shot. He is really good and works really hard.I think he will be on a roster next season somewhere and play pretty solid.

I think its funny how the 2 best players in the big east this past year might not get drafted…

Unfortunately…Undersized scoring 2-guards are a dime-a-dozen at the NBA level, he’s going to have to be Lou Williams-esque if he wants to stick in the the league. Just because you can score in college, doesn’t mean you can score in the pros, where the defenders are bigger, stronger, longer, smarter, and more athletic that in college. Too many prospects have learned this the hard way (*cough*Morrison*cough*).

He IS an athletic freak, so that should  get him a leg up on the competition.
