There were a lot of second round guys better than some 1st round guys. There were a lot of good players who did not get drafted who are a lot better than some guys who did. Will this draft go down as one of the most mistake riddled drafts in NBA history?

I don’t mind James Johnson at #16, but why not Blair or Young at #26? They will regret that!!! I hope Blair and Young stick it in the faces of every team that passed on them, especially the Bulls!!!

As I said in another thread, Houston did not have a first round choice but they wound up with the steal of the draft in D. Blair. Once again, NBA GMs proved how dumb they can be. They didn’t learn their lesson two years ago when everybody passed on Paul Milsap in the first round.

    D. Blair is going to make them look foolish because they’re all fascinated with offense. But everybody who understands basketball realizes rebounding and defense wins game.

I thought Kevin McHale was out, then why are they making McHaleish picks, 2 point guards come on, no center, are they really expecting Ellington to be their starting SG, to be matched up against Kobe, Roy,etc..

Those three are top-caliber undrafted free agents. It’s rare for players of that caliber to be available on the open market.

i think memphis dropped the ball. sure they added great defense with thabeet…which still has to prove he’s worth it. The grizz added no offensive impact pieces in this draft, and at barely 94ppg, you need offense help. they failed to make a reasonable trade to better the team. #2 could have been traded for a polished young PF and other pieces would have made MEM look alot better out of the draft.

i wouldn’t go as far as to say minnesota dropped the ball. they most likely willy be trading flynn or rubio for some help.

I think Memphis is planning to unleash Conley this year, so if he improves enough the offense will as well with easy buckets from his passing and a few extra points from him, Gay and Mayo this year. They will be better I think.
