Big surprise for me. I guess teams doubt Whiteside’s ability to become a role player at the next level. I like Pittman, but he will really struggle to defend the pick and roll, and won’t be a good helpside defender, unlike Whiteside. I would have thought that Whiteside’s defense would easily put him above Pittman, I guess I was in the majority there.

that shocked me…whiteside has so much upside yet he’s being picked behind guys with very low ceilings like lazar hayward and dexter pittman…

I agree, but Pittman has improved SOOOO much. Whiteside really does have maturity problems. My concerns with Pittman though is his lateral quickness and his ability to finish against NBA athletes.
