bennydabullParticipantSaw it on SC, Hornets turned it down. Thoughts?

MagikKnickParticipantSmart of the Hornets, even if they are willing to trade Paul.
For the best(2nd best?) point guard in the league, the Hornets could get alot more value…
Not to mention they’ve already said they don’t plan on trading CP3

AllDayyyParticipantThey aren’t trading CP3 even if WWW wants to run his mouth saying that it would entice Lebron. And in this fantasy world where they are trading CP3 they damn sure aren’t going to take back a PG.

esperanzafleet69Participantunbelievable the hornets turned that down…
it offers a solution when david west’s contract is up, and it offers a solution for when cp3 leaves…
they are so far down the money shithole its amazing and its REALLY suprising theyd turn this down…

AllDayyyParticipantWhy would they accept the trade? It doesn’t move any of there bad contracts and takes back a player at a position where they have a replacement.

knicksfan7ParticipantI said this before and lost a point for it (not that I care), but the Hornets do not want to trade away Chris Paul. I think Chris Paul wants to get out of New Orleans because of the team is cutting costs, firing Byron Scott, and the players on the team aren’t good enough to win a championship.

JNixonParticipantThe Nets should’ve thrown in Terrence Williams and saw what would’ve happened.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantDARREN COLLISON IS A BACKUP….!!! DAMM GET OFF HIS NUTS….HE’S NOT BETTER THAN HARRIS….THAT WAS GOOD DEAL IF THE NETS ADDED LEE AND YI IT MIGHT GET DONE
HARRIS,LEE,CDR AND THE 2ND PICK FOR CP3….IT’S PRETTY FAIR…ONE PLAYER CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH…

kobyzParticipantDevin Harris and #3 pick is very tempting for Hornets, if Nets would also take Posey contract Hornets could do it!

AllDayyyParticipantSo much fail in one thread, I swear when I read stuff on here I wonder if anyone pays any attention to basketball.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantTHEN HE WILL GET OUT….PLAYERS CAN’T REQUEST TRADES AND GET WHAT THEY WANT…
STARS CAN DO WHAT EVER THEY WANT AND THE TEAM HAS TO TAKE IT…
WHY WOULD YOU WANT A PLAYER THAT CLEARLY DOESN’T WANT YOU…
ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CAN GET AN ALL STAR POINT AND TOP 3 PICK IN RETURN…

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWHEN HIS CONTRACT IS UP….HE’S GONE….MIGHT AS WELL GET SOMETHING BEFORE YOU BECOME THE RAPTORS….

AllDayyyParticipantHe’ll more than likely stay if the sale gets approved. Shinn blows, he is one of three owners that needs to get kicked out the league. Sarver and Sterling being the other two, and probably whoever owns the Hawks.

FDAPOI would jump on the Nets bandwagon without even thinking twice…..
Horrible trade for the Hornets..

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI would have offered
Devin Harris, 3rd pick, Courtney Lee and Future 1st for Chris Paul and Julian Wright
0- Posted on: Tue, 06/22/2010 - 8:32am #337493
AllDayyyParticipantAnd the answer would be the same

IknoBall12Participantthe hornets didnt take this trade. I mean the hornets would have been much better off this season i think if they accepted this trade. they could have drafted a wing or another big.

stanford hoopsits not a good deal on a couple of levels but one that isnt mentioned is that the owner is trying to sell the team because they are losing money. what you think will happen if that trade went down?..you think someone wants to buy that team then?..they would be losing wayy more money then they are now without chris paul. ya’ll have to look at it from the business angle not just the on the court angle
