Guys just wnat to know what the deal is with Devin Harris? After he got traded from Dallas in the Kidd trade it seems like he’s been on the trade block a lot! I didn’t watch Nets games so I don’t know… But his numbers look good… He plays D. So why is everyone trying to get rid of him?

Could he still be taking the blame for the season the Nets had two years ago?

I can never ever guess why everyone writes off Devin Harris. The guy is a great PG in the league! He can help at least a couple of teams in the League (Knicks, LA, Indiana, Miami, Sacremento). At least Top-20. One day he is gonna find himself back on top. I got my fingers crossed that Utah deals him to LA. He is the dream PG of the future if we can pry him away. Wishful thinking though!!! Lol.

From the games in Utah which is not many it seems he can stay with anyone on D, but he always gets killed by picks from what i have seen he trys but he does not have the body to take the picks, and he is always hurt so that could be another reason why he is always on the block because no one wants to pay a player to sit on the bench

    1. He is not a true pg and is widely inconsistant

    2. he butted heads with avery johnson(coach of mavs and nets), so thats probably why he got traded, plus it was for two great pgs(Kidd,D-will)

as a nets fan i didn’t like him that much, but i wouldn’t put the blame on him for the nets nightmare season. It was really bruce ratners fault as he got rid of every good player we had and replaced them with scrubs so he could make money, sell the team, and convince the owner to move them brookyln where his real estate company can build the arena. Devin should fit in fine with the jazz, I think trade ideas were going around because jimmer, knight, and walker were available, but they choose kanter and jazz management stated he’s part of thier future so i dont see him going anywhere unless he does something stupid(which won’t happen)

He is a poor defender and he is very inefficient.

Overall he is a solid starting point guard, but nothing that you want to build your team around. Kind of like Raymond Felton.

Jazz fans are used to seeing great PG’s. I mean John Stockton, Deron Williams. That’s all this team has had for 20 plus years great PG’s. Devin Harris apparently does not strike Utah fans as a great PG. He was on the trade block in Dallas and New Jersey because he butted heads with Avery Johnson.

    He’s also very injury prone.

I used to ask the same questions about Andre Miller….high caliber point guards who people viewed as significant franchise pieces…who for some reason just can’t find a long term home.

Two different types of players obviously…but for such good players to be turned into journeymen seems odd.
