Tim49461ParticipantThe Pistons might be losing themselves to victory. As weird as that sounds it’s true. If the Pistons find some way keep losing games and forget about the playoffs they can hold onto their draft pick this year. Most likely the best scenario is atleast a Top 6 pick. With being the 5th worst team in the league. It’s possible too, If they lose 2 games while the 4 other teams below them win they are at the 5th spot.
Can you imagine adding a top 5 pick in this year’s draft to that roster?! Now im not going to get too excited at the possibility of getting a top 3 pick and adding someone like Parker or Wiggins. But getting that top 5 pick allows them the option of getting Gary Harris, Exum, Smart.
I would cry and be happier than a fat man on girl scout cookie delivery day.
I’m begging them to tank, atleast secure top 8 so the bobcats dont get the pick. Send your negative prayers to the pistons people its for the best.

TyroberParticipantTheir roster is a complete mess. Getting a top 5 pick isn’t going to make Josh Smith a small forward or let Jennings become some great passer. The other thing that is going to help them is a complete overhaul.

JeffreyhardenParticipantIf the Pistons get the top pick and select Jabari Parker. I would do a sign and trade Greg Monroe for Eric Gordon and Austin Rivers and hire Mike D’Antoni. Imagine a team of
PG Brandon Jennings Rodney Stuckey Will Bynum
SG Eric Gordon Rodney Stuckey Austin Rivers
SF Jabari Parker Kyle Singler
PF Josh Smith
C Andre Drummond
running a Mike D’Antoni’s offense. Drummond would average 22-16 next year.

Tim49461ParticipantI have been pretty consistent with watching Pistons games. To say Jennings is a terrible passer shows lack of knowledge of the team. He gets 8-10assist a night. I don’t care what team or who you are if you getting that many assist you know how to pass the ball. Jennings needs shooters to truely show off him being a good PG. He is used right now for his outside shooting unfortunately. Outside of himself only 2 other people on the team are known for getting 3’s.

Chilbert arenasParticipantThey need to get rid of Smith (which won’t happen) or Monroe (would have to be in a sign and trade) and get quality shooters around Jennings and Drummond.

omphalosParticipantI think a playoff berth would be more valuable than another young player for this. Even a first-round sweep is something you can build off for the next season and gives guys like Drummond and Monroe an idea of what it’s like to play in games that matter, it might light a fire under them.

MopgrassParticipantIf they got lucky, they could get Marcus Smart. He can be combo guy and I think he’s a winner. Position-wise Rodney Hood makes more sense. None of it fixes the PF clog, but it’s another step.
