White ChocolateParticipantWhich college players do you think are destined, they are perfect fits, or it is their fate to end up with a certain team? I have a few:
Jimmer Fredette – Utah Jazz, it makes too much sense for him to not go to the Jazz. He plays for BYU, they need a point guard, and he is a perfect fit for them.
Ben Hansbrough – Indiana Pacers, his brother Tyler plays for them, they need a player like him off the bench, and like Jimmer he is the perfect fit for them.
Shelvin Mack – Los Angeles Lakers, they need a point guard badly and for some reason I just think Mack will end up with them not sure why though.

Lotto StudParticipantI nominate Charles Jenkins

HaleParticipantI don’t know what the Pacers needs are, but Ben Hansbrough is not the answer. He isn’t an NBA player to me. He doesn’t have pg skills, isn’t an athlete, lacks 2 guard size…he has the same weaknesses (and then some) as Jimmer except he is nowhere near as good.
Jimmer to the Jazz seems to be a common theme around this site and for the reasons you stated above I can see why. I like the Mack to the Lakers idea as well.

thunderbear82ParticipantJimmer makes no sense to the Jazz, They have Harris who is better than any PG on any other lottery team except the wizard. Other than racist, bigoted stereotyping it makes no sense.

Nolan Smith = OKC
Donatas = Bucks

CardiacKidParticipantKyrie Irving and Jared Sullinger to Cleveland- Byron Scott did work with Chris Paul and David West, Irving and Sullinger are destined to be in Cleveland
Harrison Barnes to Washington- OKC and Miami have started 2 trends building through the draft and then filling in the pieces through trade and free agency and getting top notch stars and finding pieces as they come available. The Wizards want the OKC way of things and with Wall, Young and Barnes to build around they are on their way to building a winning franchise.
Kemba Walker to New York- For 1 I dont think he’s coming to New York he’s my fav college player and after his performance at The Garden this year I just think he fits everything New York Basketball is about. I think he ends up in Charlotte though.
William Buford to Chicago- I love his game for one and we all know Chicago needs a true 2 guard. Buford can develop for a year and learn Thibedou’s defense and then become a great addition to the new Bulls
Marcus Morris to New York- I’ve been thinking like who the hell should the Knicks draft. Most say a defensive big or mobile big but the only "big" I see fitting is Enes Kanter but we all know he isnt falling passed the top 7. STAT, Melo and Shawne Williams often play the 3-4-5 and New York really hurts when they are out their together especially on the boards. Marcus Morris is the PERFECT compliment to both Amar’e and ‘Melo in the draft. He can shoot, rebound and defend and at 6’9 he is an ideal 4 man for D’Antoni. He fits this offense very well but will also provide an attitude and defensive presence. This will allow Williams to play his natural 3 spot more often and they keep a great amount of offense on the floor which D’Antoni wants while also adding defense which everyone else wants

JRdaFilipinoParticipantgotta go with thunderbear on this one.. they already have Harris and he’s what like 28? and still has years before he starts to slow down. Because Fredette is a lights out shooter I would normally suggest he spend time at the 2 spot, and although he’s go pretty good size and strength.. he just doesn’t have the speed or quickess to defend NBA 2 guards. He could be utilized in a back up pg role as a scorer and sparingly as a sg, but if you’re looking for a guard who could play the 1 and 2 I think Brandon Knight would be a better option than Jimmer Fredette. He’s much more athletic than he gets credit for and although he’s only a freshman he’s already a very solid perimeter defender. I love Fredette but I personally don’t think he’d end up on the Jazz… but then again they selected Gordan Hayward when Paul George was still on the board.

SwatLakeCityParticipantI do agree that the Jazz should draft Jimmer but not to replace Harris. I’d much rather have Harris at the point instead of Jimmer. The Jazz should use Jimmer as a sixth man now that Miles is starting. (Miles used to be the 6th man before he started just recently) Jimmer would be much better used a 6th man in his first years in the league, because he can do what he is good at, score and learn the PG position more under the tutelage of Harris.
Jonas Valanciunas=Rockets
Burks=Warriors (Ellis is going on the block next year)
@cardiac kid, The Heat did not build through the draft. Lebron and Bosh, hello, they both signed on as free agents. If their is another team that has build successfully through the draft it is the Clippers. Although I wouldn’t say they are quite there yet. They still need a few more pieces before they will be winning again.
Trey Thompkins= Thunder (Just traded Jeff Green, here is his replacement. They already have Westbrook and Maynor why would they need Nolan Smith
Buford and Nolan Smith=Bulls (Need a SG who is a role player. Buford is the perfect guy for the job. Imagine Smith coming off the bench to backup Rose! Would be excellent, much better than CJ Watson.
I actually have a feeling Mack will go higher. Butler is doing very well in the tourney. And remember what happened last year when Butler made it to the title game and then almost won. Hayward ended up being a lottery pick. I think Mack will go to the Wizards as a backup to Wall.
Corey Fisher=Lakers (perfect Derek Fisher replacement. And he is a better scorer than Fisher is. Not a great passer but the Lakers offense doesn’t need a passing PG.)

CardiacKidParticipantI said they started 2 trends.
OKC- building through the draft(Durant, Westbrook, Harden and Ibaka) then finding complimentary role guys through trade and free agency(Perkins, Maynor, Cook, Mohhammed. Sefolosha and Robinson)
Miami- Getting top notch Free Agents(James and Bosh) and getting other pieces as they come available(Miller, Bibby, Dampier)
2 different trends 2 different teams…….please read before you look foolish

The lake show2To be honest i think any point guard who can shoot has a high basketball IQ and plays ok Defense would be a good fit for the Lakers. I dont think a team who has won back to back titles and imo will win another one really needs any player at any position
