Sorry for the Double post guys, I mis spelled a few words in a rush and wanted a clearer Thread going forward-

Minnesota would still have Beasley, Love, Wes Johnson and Anthony Randolph at Sf/Pf

I heard David Kaun loved Turner during the 2010 draft and wanted him badly way back then

The Wolves could draft another Sf/Pf with The Utah Jazz’s pick(If The Jazz make the playoff’s)

Philadelphia would still have Lou Williams and Jodi Meeks available to play Sg, not to mention Andre Iguadola

I heard the Sixers are not as high on Turner as they once were and that he plays too much of a Point Forward role

The Sixers could draft a Sg like Rivers, Ross, Waiters or Wroten Jr. to play the role more common of Sg’s in The NBA and Score the ball

    Final Thoughts-

The Wolves could have used another ball handler/play maker after Rubio and Ridnour went down with injuries, Turner may have helped keep them afloat, at the very least a Rubio/Turner back court would give David Kaun a sense of completion

The Sixers fell apart late in the season because they lacked a True scorer in The Starting rotation, they wanted Turner to become that guy, but he seems to be a better 2nd or 3rd option at this point, I think an interior threat like Derrick Williams would be a good start, drafting a Shooter to play off Holiday, Iguadola and Williams sounds like a good plan too

In The Draft the Sixers replace Turner with Terrence Ross or Dion Waiters and The Wolves replace Williams with Mo Harkless or Terrence Jones

The only issue I have with this deal now is that it takes the ball out of Love and Rubio’s hands.  Turner needs the ball to be effective and Rubio is not the kind of point to play off the ball right now.  I think it would improve them as a team because it balances them out but it might stunt Rubio.  Minny can possibly get a good shooting guard in this draft coming up.  At some point Beasley or Williams will get moved.  I would not be shocked if Wesley Johnson was moved also.

I’m pretty sure he envisioned a Back court with Rubio and Turner going in to the 2010 Draft, in fact he looked upset after missing out on Turner and getting the 4th pick and settling for Wes Johnson…Johnson has been a failure because he’s playing out of position IMO, he’s a Sf/Pf not a SG…

I’m sure the trade has flaws in it as does any trade offer, but what Team would flat out shut down talks, I doubt Kaun hangs up the phone when offered a player he clearly valued very highly just 2 years ago, and he had Rubio locked up at the point…

I think the Sixers may be the team too subborn to make the Deal, even if Derrick Williams would be a great upgrade at Pf when they let Brand go, and they’ve fallen back into the top 16 with their poor play late in the season and could get Ross, Rivers or Waiters to play Sg…

I live in the Philly area and I have never heard of the front office not liking Evan Turner. Doug Collins doesnt like Evan Turner. Doug Collins wanted Favors so I would assume that the front office picked Turner. Doug doesnt like young players anyways. he never has so drafting a SG in the draft will be moot. He isnt going to play him. If I remember right, Doug Collins was the coach when Wizards traded Rip Hamilton to Detroit. Evan Turner may have his problems, like a supposed cycling issue with a condition according to rumors, but Evan not playing is more Collins

Turner wouldnt be a good fit to the Timberwolves. They need a scorer at the 2 spot, somebody like OJ Mayo. There is no need for another player who is the most effective. I dont see also Williams fitting well to the 76ers. They got Young who is also an undersized PF so I think that there is a possibility that they would trade Turner but not for Derick Williams.

First of all, I am a fan of ET. The problem with Williams is that he is a tweener.  I would never draft a Tweeners in the top3-5 because they dont have a position and wont start for good teams, unless there is an injury.

Williams wont start over Beasley or Love, and he wont start over Brand or Iggy. Plus the 76ers already have Thad Young. Everytime I see Williams, he looks really big, but not big enough to play PF and too big for SF. Watch him in the slam dunk contest, that extra weight really hurt his lift. His offensive game is more SF than PF though. Can he even play defense?

Best thing for Williams is to keep coming off the bench, just like Young and Taj Gibson. Every team could use a Tweener as a backup though.

     Sixers say No.

Thad young is a good pf/sf in this league when Derrick hasnt found his niche at either yet.Turner is getting his game down pact and I will stick with my guns if I was the sixers.

There is no way in hell you can have a starting backcourt of Turner and Rubio in the modern NBA.  Neither can shoot AT ALL and both need the ball in their hands.  Terrible idea, sorry.

The Jazz are probably going to the playoffs, giving Minn another pick just outside the lotto.  This draft is uncommonly strong at the SG position, ensuring that Minn can pick up a 2 with plenty of talent with their Utah pick.  Their are no equivalent SFs that will be available at the 15-17 spot in this draft.  Plus, even though many here are high on ET, I’m not.  I don’t like 2s that can’t shoot.
